Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I dont post often but I think Male Viera would be very nice. A cash cow for sure, with how many people would fanta to try it-as it is, people are fanta'ing every other day anyway. Another option to fanta to just means more income. I don't see a downside other than possibly ugly faces.

My plea is yes please add Male Viera but please no ugly faces on it. Usually all the races have like 1 good face, all other 3 are ugly. Do not make him ugly, men are hard to find attractive as it is. Also give him a bunny tail. And make him handsome. But NOT bulky looking. No one wants wrestlemania hulkamania bunny man. Consult a group of women before releasing it, if they all call him ugly then start over. Have them wear a lie detector to be sure they arent just saying he's handsome to be nice. Tall, but not a twig like an Elezen but not a walking bolder like a Roe. Something inbetween an Aura and Miqote body type. But unlike Aura males NO ugly faces. Thank you.

bunny tail seems an odd requirement to me since historically viera dont have tails (and sure we never see males to it totally could, but would be an odd thing to have as a sexually dimorphic trait i think). the racial gear based on fran (FF12) has a pseudo-tail for aesthetic reasons, but little if any gear for them from across the ivalice games does otherwise. iirc them having the ears is mostly due to/to enable hearing The Wood's will and other sensory stuff (sensitivity to mist, etc)

oh im sure some people out there want that, but they already have roes and hrothgar (bara), and au'ra (the gymrat/"dorito" build) males

Roegadyn and Hrothgar are considered too bulky for a lot of people's tastes, myself included. Personally I'd like something along the lines of Gladio from FFXV, Snow from FFXIII or Basch from FFXII. They're not excessively muscular, they're classically handsome and if you stuck bunny ears on them...they'd be pretty close to what I'd like Viera men to look like.

I'm pretty confident that Highlander men would be one of the most popular race/gender choices - at least on the North American and European servers - if they had actual eyebrows and more handsome facial features. If Viera men end up somewhat close to that ideal, I could see them being a hit rather than a miss.

To be fair though, while I think that would be really cool and likely very popular on NA and EU I higly doubt it would go as well on the east, where it would make mroe sense to at least give them the option to have 1 cutesy or at least young-ish looking face and likely a body thats similar to au ra (considering male au ra are after all based in a large deal on the male viera concept art) so I think the most likely thing is something like, 1 handsome face for west 1 cutesy face for east 2 faces that idk what would be like and a body type thats more similar to elezen than higlander considering YoshiP did say they would look close to elezen. To add onto this, comparing the body types of the races shows us that elezen are pretty muscular, while highlander and roes being on the more extreme end of a bodybuilder - even miqo males are quite beefy. elezen just look abit lanky because of their elongated neck with a smaller head. also their arms seem abit long too. I‘d love to see something between elezen and aura body wise, maybe with a muscle slider. as you said yoshi p‘s vision already sees them in that direction.



these are just my opinions tho, i‘d love to see in what direction they would go with them. also something which is a MUST for me, that they consider matsuno‘s vision of them.

Well, I was a M Highlander before changing to Viera, so that would be ideal, but I have always thought they would make them look like Au ras. Not too excited about that, but we'll have to see if that ever happens.
