Axes already exist in the game as well between both BTN and WAR. There's a difference between a small gardening scythe and a scythe like Ranjiit's. They could also rename either one as "sickle" and call it a day.

Warscythes are already a thing that distinguishes between gardening scythe and scythe meant to kill people
