Why don't we hear about egi glamours anymore?

I feel like the devs haven't even commented on the egi glamour system in what feels like forever. I know a very vague comment was made in the last few months, but I don't think it was more than "there will be news coming sometime in the future". Maybe it's just me but I feel like it's a vital part to the aesthetic feel of SMN. Bahamut and Phoenix are really cool, but some of us chose SMN with the hope of one day being able to summon our favorite Final Fantasy espers/eidolons/etc.

With the way pets are now non-targettable I feel it's even more simple to set it up now. The glamours really just need to be a reskin and then maybe a re-color of the SMN abilities (like if Leviathan is a skin for Garuda make its attachs blue instead of green for example)

Alternates for Ifrit (Melee egis):
- Shiva (Using the ice sword and shield)
- Ravana

Alternates for Garuda (Ranged egis):
- Leviathan (Garuda's big ground aoe can be replaced by a large blue watery aoe from Leviathan)
- Ramuh

Alternates for Titan (Tank egis):
- Bismarck

Honestly, you could even not include Ravana and Bismarck and just keep it to the 2.xx egis and I feel like so many more people would be happy. Would love it if a dev could touch base on this...I've asked in the last few Q&A live letters but my question's been missed since it's likely not a priority.

Even if the devs want to move away from the pet system entirely (and it seems like that's their goal) they could just re-tool the rest of SMN's abilities to be themed like the summons. Sort of like Yuna in Dissidia Duodecim. Instead of a poison DoT ability give SMNs a fire-themed DoT and have Ifrit's head/egi pop up when you cast it (like how Bahamut's head pops up when you use Dreadwyrm trance).

I just feel like there's so much more that can be done to make SMN, aesthetically, feel like a summoner and it's disheartening that we basically got a red carbuncle over 2 years ago and then the devs just stopped mentioning it entirely.

Another option is the Warring Triad, seeing as they feature in the job quest line.

Sephirot binah as a Titan glamour already exists, then Sophia for Garuda and Ravana for Ifrit are a perfect fit.

Alternatively they could be egi upgrades for 81-90, relegating Titan/Garuda/Ifrit to glams.

I'd love actual Egi's over the geode-spirits we have. I just want a Siren glamour, Garuda or Ifrit in their actual, monstrous form- not some half-silly rock

I'm all for more glamour options, but I'd like the ability to turn eos or selene into a carby to. I mean the animations are all there already.

Otherwise I'd love to see more carby colors added as well. Tis a shame that SE claims they can't do things when the modding community proves them wrong 9/10 times.

Well if we want it to not get swept under the rug we need to keep this thread alive and really bolster it until it gets some attention!

They didn't even hide it on the back burner. They added carbys in 3.5 and then talked a big game about adding more during Stormblood patches, then said they're actually still working on it and to look forward to it in patch 5.1 at the earliest, and here we are today.

They should either start adding some or at least talk about it again.

A lot has happened since then in this year alone. They are a couple months behind schedule so it's understandable that some things might not be a priority right now. That said, they have never really seemed to care a whole lot about egi glamours. I was surprised that they caved at all and gave players the carbuncle ones.
