    I really do wish that Veil of the Whorl was a cooldown like Warrior's Vengeance. I really do, because then I'd have a reason to take the spell.

    On that note, 5.45 is only two days out. I know we aren't getting access to Ultimate, but I hope whatever spells we get allow us to make the most out of some of the existing ones. I hate to see some of the older spells fall to the wayside because of power-creep.

    Having gotten almost all the new spells and finished the new carnival stage, here are my impressions:

    The Good:

    1. Basic Instinct

    Holy hell, imagine actually making the job advertised as a solo job able to solo things. Being able to solo duties while ilvl sync'd to get skills is honestly a godsend and is actually (dare I say it) fun content. The only thing making this not excellent is soloing an instance doesnt count for the BLU log, booooooo.

    2. Tank and Healer Kits.

    The 2 extra cooldowns on tank, and the more wide reaching on demand heal with strotam and the aoe regen with angel snack make playing tank or healer blu less of an absolute dread like it was before, like i can actually stomach playing blu tank now.

    3. The rotation:

    Expansion on the rotation has been very good, triple trident and matra magic are really fun gcds (especially triple needing 2 other skills to set it up right), and the new tsukiyomi skill making you alternate between having to but up SoT and not is really great. Only thing im not a fan of is phantom flurry, gives me war flashbacks to SB flamethrower on mch and it just doesnt feel punchy enough in the dot phase.

    The Bad

    1. Mentioned previously, soloing doesnt count towards log, i'd like it to, gives people an incentive to stretch themselves

    2. Still limited:

    At this point, the dps blu rotation is probably my favourite out of the casters just from a mechanics perspective, I couldnt care less about the numbers attached from being padded by mimicry, i just want to be able to play this in endgame content with the meme skills excluded. Whilst theyre at it, might as well allow a tank and healer spec too, tank blu is now only missing access to the tank role skills and DB being a true invuln to basically just be a normal tank.

    Savage Completion Rate ~5%+ of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to savage"
    Ultimate Completion Rate ~1% of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to the hardcore raiders"
    Frontline/ Rival Wings/ Hidden Gorge Mount Aquisition ~0.05-1% of active players. Community: "Ugh PVP is so dead in this game, they should stop investing in it"
    Blue Mage Morbol Mount Aquisition ~0.01% of active players. Community: "WoW bLuE mAgE iS sO fUn AnD aCtIvE i CaN't WaIt FoR mOrE lImItEd JoBs"

    I'm curious how does the dps rotation look for 5.45 only had time to get the open world spells and solo to 64 before work?

    So, after a few days of the new BLU.
    I like it a lot. All 3 roles got really interesting and powerful tools.
    Heal BLUs, the fact that we got off-brand Medica and Medica 2 (on a 2 minute cooldown) and it improved our healing potential by a lot is a hilarious feeling i can't quite shake off. But joking aside, healing on a BLU now feels pretty great.
    Tank BLUs, combined with the previous Devour and Mighty Guard changes, now also got proper tank mitigation skills and both are pretty good. 20% mitigation with retaliation nuke attached, and flat 40% mitigation is both great.
    And DPS got so many interesting and powerful tools, to the point where compared to level 60, that rotation is completely different and it's amazing.

    Special mentions.
    Basic Instinct. I went solo to Swallow Compass just to see if i could, and while it was somewhat slow it's definitely possible to actually solo the dungeons now. Not quite possible outside of heal mimic, but even when my Pom Cures were hitting for like 30k when my hp is 43k. So that's the only healing spell you need. You have permanent damge reduction thanks to MG and overall it's just plain fun.
    In the same world where Night Bloom exists Both Ends is just... why? Compare 400 + 1500 potency DoT OGCD to flat 600 potency OGCD. Nightblom becomes better if DoT ticks just 3 times.
    Ultravibration is a really great tool for dungeons. It's a better Level 5 Death that works pretty much on all dungeon trash and has a shorter cooldown as well.

    ultravibration's great outside of the last leg of temple of the fist (but Lv5 death doesn't work on those guys either, so it's sort of moot).

    comments on floor 31: boy i sure do love having to slog all the way through the easy-but-long first phase every time the second phase kills me for not getting a mechanic correctly (that you may very well be seeing for the first time ever).

    it certainly wasn't the worst part of duo-pepsiman or anything since it ruined the ability to so much as practice the fight, but now it's story-required.

    They're undead. Saintly Beam has 500 potency against them. Sanctify them.

    i didnt have it at the time (that IS tons of fun on them since i'm STILL farming for the arhat fending chest+minion there), but my post there wasnt a complaint that it doesnt work, just noting that they're not affected by it (same with the couerl's not being affected by deep freeze and therefore ultra). it's fine/cool that some mobs arent affected by certain spells (this case them being undead as you noted), and its a great spell outside of that specific scenario.

    They really should add a level 50 overworld mob for Aetherial Mimicry and make it 100% drop, as it is more or less required if you want to do all BLU synced content.
