Does Square intend to address Market botting?

At around 6am or so this morning a quick player search revealed over 200 players named “bfdyhjwop clpdeepja” or similar running around Louisoix server. TWO HUNDRED!!! They were all level 54-56, White Mage or Bard and seemed to be in groups of 10 or so.

Sent report....standard reply redirecting me to STF.

This is no longer a”problem” ...... it’s an infestation.

That's nothing unusual. Those are the usual disposable RMT farming bots, SE bans thousands of those a week.

Most of this discussion is about the market bots that are getting gil through selling to players on the MB. There are far fewer bots involved in the market though there are still some.
