To be fair, I actually think Yoshida's correct there. World transfer may have had an impact but it's likely the smallest. What utterly crashed the markets is how absurdly easy crafting became this expansion, and more specifically, the overwhelming amount of bots. The sad reality is people are more emboldened now because they know SE won't do anything. I've even met some who are so brazen with botting, they'll outright tell you because, and I quote, "Not like SE ever does anything."

I hate to say it but literally every single one of us in this thread could google a bot program, set it up and never get caught. That's how poorly handled the situation has become.

we could, thats the sad part. because SE has done nothing at all, for so long, that people feel safe cheating. personally, I refuse to do it, obviously I am stupid. but I am not going to cheat to get ahead in a game.

The bot account here on Moogle changed his mule characters (name and appearance) and also changed his retainer locations around a bit. Now why would he do this? Maybe thought he got compromised. Can't see any other reason to do this by himself without reason. But who knows, he is still here so.

All the bots on Chaos are still going full steam so nothing changed at all. The "Hi GuYs We BaNnEd SoMe BoTs" message from SE is just a scam -- an insult, salt in our wounds, an "out of season April fools joke". Well, I guess they made me giggle though. Got to give them that.

there's this one player in faerie who seems to never leave their apartment, but somehow always has materials to make anything going for over 20k gil. i've never seen their name in purchase history either. the player also NEVER logs out, ever, and updates their prices every 10 - 20 minutes, and always undercuts everyone by just one gil. the player only has one dps up to 80 and nothing else. i really think this is a bot and want to message a gm or something cuz its hard for anyone to use the MB and this one person is causing most of the damage. i'm afraid to say anything tho, i don't want to look like the bad guy here or that i'm upset i'm not making sales, that's not the issue. as soon as anyone makes anything, this bot also makes one and charges just one gil less. it's almost pointless to put anything up for sale unless yur prepared to check your competition every 10 minutes.

It is a bot, likely an FC of 9 people, 8 of them are mules on another account. They are always in the inn room or the apartment auto-crafting away. Dont bother reporting them, they dont even care about all that, but the guy who used 3 emotes will get whisked off to jail. The 1 gil undercut and rapid periodic price change are dead giveaways.

the behaviour is a dead giveaway. they can set up their apartment so it would APPEAR that they are not botting. basically having a mender close by so they arent having to ever leave. likely have retainers on another account that pop in and out by a retainer bell in major cities so they can update pricing every 10 to 15 minutes.

Does the name start with an "I"? (Cos god forbid I use the full name here and face the wrath of the SE inquisition). Like SolidsnakeMgs5 said, 100% bot. ALL the bots operate the same way across the data centres. But SE loves to protect bots. They seem so precious to them to keep their "economy" alive (reminds me of a certain bully country with the same status quo lol). But YOU be careful not to mouth them off because you will be burnt at the stake by SE folk.

i felt it was inappropriate to to put names out there, i am getting frustrated with them ruining the market board tho and needed to say something. good to know SE doesn't care, didn't want to bother a gm anyway cuz they're never helpful either.
