Weapons You Wish You Had

1. True hunter class that can tame real world animals something like blue mage but without the silly BLU limits
2. Necromancer class without a doubt that uses whips
3. Berserker class that uses that nail bat from FF7 Remake with the same sound effects!

Shields.
I know, we've already got and use them in game, but they're not really used offensively. They're practically there as a stat-stick/decoration. Ever since they removed Shield Swipe, the only attack focused around the shield is Shield Bash, which never gets used since it's on the GCD.

I'd like to see more attacks where you slam into people, swipe them, bash them, or mix the shield into your existing attacks. There's just something great about slamming someone with a wall of metal.

Kunai and (edit) normal looking Wakizashi and perhaps some Tanto. It is stupid how we have Ninja for as long as we had and still don't have these basic weapons for Ninja.

Also, I would like for them to start designing Ninja weapons where one weapon is different from the other. Like they did with Thancred. It's totally not fair.

We have Shield Lob as well, but I definetely agree we need more shield-based attacks - 1.0's old SEN class being rolled into GLA/PLD ended up losing stuff from shield use more than it gave.

Non-glowing versions of Artifact weapons (the ones that already have a non-glowing version, I'm obviously not talking about). I like the design of the Sandungs, but not the fact that is has no non glowing version.

I'm ok with just using staves, but I really miss Aero III's animation (and the spell itself), nothing beats that Cardcaptor Sakura spin

I'm not talking about future jobs (limited or otherwise) or roles here. I'm saying, hypothetically, if you could have any weapon to play with right now, what would that look like?


I see Gaia and it just makes me yearn for a big F*off hammer. Something dps oriented where you can just throw your weight around. I would like one of the abilities to be called the Nut Cracker.

My other dream weapon would be replacing the AST arms with a crystal ball. Nothing else to it, I just want it.

A whip would be unique (like Seven from FFType0)
A mace (like Cinque from FFType0)
A hammer (like that of Thor)
A flute (like Deuce from FFType0)
A deck of cards (like Ace from FFType0, which should be different from the cards used by AST)
A bell (because they have already been used in some other FF games)
A crossbow
and for my DRG, a swallow (just like the main weapon of Serge from Chrono Cross)
