Weapons You Wish You Had

I'm not talking about future jobs (limited or otherwise) or roles here. I'm saying, hypothetically, if you could have any weapon to play with right now, what would that look like?


I see Gaia and it just makes me yearn for a big F*off hammer. Something dps oriented where you can just throw your weight around. I would like one of the abilities to be called the Nut Cracker.

My other dream weapon would be replacing the AST arms with a crystal ball. Nothing else to it, I just want it.

I believe I've answered smth similar in another thread that I couldn't remember which...but I'll just put it up here again

First, the joke weapons
WHM with a selfie stick (with a smartphone attached to it, flashes everytime casting)
SCH with a drawing tablet
AST with a fidget spinner

Now for the real hypothetical weapons...
SCH with bamboo scrolls or commander's baton.
AST with separate equip slot for the globe and the cards. Globe obviously placed on main hand while the cards set on off-hand. The purpose is to have them being able to select one from few possible options for different purposes. Probably cards for more buffing pot, or cards for self dps increase, or cards for increased heals, or chance to land debuffs, etc
Iron Fan, probably for DNC...or new, hypothetical class.
Music scores for BRD's off hand. Similar to AST, to supply them options.

Also I want DoL's bazooka xD for MCH maybe?!

Weird weapons would be cool. Weird in the sense they're just not really standard or at least come in combination that makes them special (not like.. "that makes no sense" lol).

• Say the chain whip attached to lantern like thing for a dark job
• Pylons that work directly with game mechanics (like large crystals that infuse with elements) - like a magical (rather than weapon) based noctis (when he has all the royal arms around himself)
• Scarf, cloak, Sash, cloth wrap - like a mix of Voldemort, Spawn (Comic book cape), Bayonetta's hair, Nezha (mythology), and Doctor Strange's cape. Given the flowing nature the animations for attacks could be akin to Voldemort in the final movie or as I was originally thinking a means and media for transformation based job. Not only could the 'weapon' be a visual statement setting the job aside from others but such a 'weapon' would also be more logically feasible to display in transformations which gets around a common issue transformation based jobs have (pretty much zero customization options lol).

In terms of more standard weapons it could be neat to see giant bludgeon weapons, like Sauron (LotR). In the concept of the above, adding some 'weird', I had thought perhaps the weapon incorporated a bell (either at the end or within the bludgeon part), and so it was like a GeoKnight like job (perhaps also has pylons that it can smack for extra effect :3).

I very much want this. I've literally only used the Canopus Lux since getting it back in Heavensward because I can at least pretend it's a crystal ball. I really dislike the design of Astrologian globes.

I would also really like a classic hammer for White Mage and fans for Dancer.

Whips would definitely be cool. I was hoping that the seiryu greatsword was a sign they were working on whip animations but no such luck.

Hammers/maces would also be great.

One thing I personally wish they'd bring back are shields for BLMs and WHMs. I just really liked the aesthetic. But that ship has long since sailed, I know
