If the recreation of Werlyt inside the Castrum happened in lore for real, then we effectively had introduced straight up holodeck technology into the setting, which has massive implications.

Isn't the fight with Nael in the Binding Coil specifically at "the Holodecks"? And that illusion was fully visible to the characters.

Which is not to say it's in use every time this happens, but the technology exists and is there to be salvaged.
