In what way is standard better for melee jobs? Auto-attacks don't care about facing, and auto-face-target handles facing for actions while on the move. If anything, I'd argue that standard is even more detrimental for melee jobs because (a) backpedaling out of a PBAoE is bad for anyone and (b) auto-face-target will cause you to change direction back into the PBAoE you're trying to dodge.
