For fighting scenes in cutscenes you could use that. I mean our character is an adventurer, they should know some combat other than their current weapon. Giving us those kinds of items or attacks would then make it much easier to let the WoL be active..and not let them stand there as if they hadnt just defeated certains Ascians a few weeks earlier..
    If WoL does get full animated actions for a cutscene, I can only assume it may have to be during the time after WoL awakens his powers as Azem so they have a story reason why WoL can use X or Y skills during a cutscene when he/she is X or Y job.

    It will certainly be interesting if those animated actions are choices based on what job's WoL unlocked or currently using but for this they may have to be limited to the job's role (Tank, Healer, Melee DPS, Range DPS, and Caster) rather than the job itself.

    Well since we do have our Azem stone right now and this does probably play after Elidibus is gone they could have had a good enough reason to give our WoL a nice little shield. But since they never gave us a scene where the WoL learnt their anti-tempering shield I doubt they would truly need a reason to give it to us.

    Guess in the end Fray is just so annoying in our heads that we are constantly not 100% there in the real world or she simply hoped that she could finally punch a primal again.

    Well we have to wait and see since lore wise, current WoL has not even awakened his powers as Azem yet. All of it is still sealed away inside the Azem Soul Crystal. The upcoming MSQ maybe about awakening those memories and powers through the course of 5.4 to 6.0
