The lack of housing and the system is broken. Since 2013 we've tried to get a Large FC house and have yet to do it because of servers and everything being gone in 30seconds. We refuse to use third party because (1) It likely isn't ToS friendly (2) They price gouging is insane.

More to this, new wards were added when houses of one size were filled. Like, if there's no Large or Medium avalable, bam, new ward is ready, go get one there. There was a problem with lots of kinda empty wards, cuz all the small houses were never filled, but with the prices FFXIV charging for M and L houses I don't thik that would really be an issue.

Due to servers being jank and housing gone in 30seconds, I decided to maybe get a Personal Small house since I failed to get the Large FC house over the last 6 years. Every Small plot had the issue of "Not Ready for Purchase" even in the new wards. Suddenly some had a FC Relocation. I went to other wards and now I'm just hoping to play the waiting game and buy a plot when the Eval is up.

That was a big mess up. Hardly ever seen such poorly planned release. The first time 3 extra wards where added, they at least had given it some thought. Now it was just a big sad mess.

Someone ought to have a little chat with those that thought it was the right thing to do and perhaps be creative and constructive. Maybe even overhaul the whole system?

The housing system benefits the people that have houses already, Sicne they can just relocate a house they own to an empty plot. This then puts the old plot on a timer. Why put out new houses if the people that need them wont get them because everyone relocates. Bad system

Some people might have trolled but I think the majority bought a spot and use it to relocate to a more preferable location.

If they did that then the ward 22, 23 or 24 plots would not have timers on them

It looks like because personal housing was a thing, people actually bought and immediately moved from homes to induce timer in the new wards! I didn't need one but it was something that I noticed when looking at the homes. It seems like that sort of toxic behavior is going to make it so personals are not allowed alongside FC in the future.

I did this on accident. I didn’t know a timer would happen. I just decided I wanted the house next to me because it had a bit of a better view, no one was around (I was lucky and got in really fast) so I went up and relocated. There’s no notification or anything saying it blocks the previous house from being bought

On behalf of all the noobs like me who did this on accident, I apologize. There really needs be a notification saying it incurs a cooldown

See, if they're worried about server load it should be one house per account. Period. Everyone gets a house that way instead of wards owned by one or two people on alts
