Looks good to me. The DMC combat could be good since it worked in Dragon's Dogma (it's the same guy so I don't expect it to be bad) but since the last good single player FF was 12 I can't bring myself to be too excited just yet. We will have to wait till we see more.

Looks like PC release got scrubbed out. Not sure why but I found this snippet in an ign article:
In the case of FF 16, Square Enix asked IGN to remove mention of PC from our initial FF 16 news story, and when asked for a statement a Square Enix spokesperson said, “We have no further information on if Final Fantasy XVI will be released on platforms other than the PS5.”
Love that Yoshi P has a hand in it.
I like the look of the combat and that I hear it is spose to be a mix of souls type combat and ff15, so should be much nicer. Imo ff15 combat felt pretty wonky. Had the game since it came out and never could finish the thing.
I'm also super glad that they mentioned there wont be any mechs in the game. Pretty sick of steampunk/mech themes in rpgs. I like fantasy without all the machines etc
I hope its open world is better than ff15 and the job system in it is nice. Would love to be a monk in my playthrough. Getting gear monster hunter style would be nice too. But it's not out on ps5 release so will wait to see more before I get overhyped.
Yeah I checked the trailer at the Square enix youtube page and the "also available on pc" part wasn't there. The probably don't want to stress out Yoship's team to work on the PC port after it comes out for ps5; they'd have to follow a strict deadline. They'll probably announce that it'll be on PC when the game's closer to completion. It's a good move, the last thing YoshiP needs is more deadlines.
I just want to speak on something that I saw somewhere talking about how we haven't had a class and/or job system in a mainline FF since XII. I'll accept the DMC gameplay if YoshiP can find a way to incorporate a class/job system into this game. It's what made games like FF Tactics and most other FFs really compelling. This job-less system FF has had since XIII isn't appealing.

I'm seeing some complaints about the combat system and saying how it's supposed to be an RPG and I'm just so confused. Action combat is not my favorite, but being an RPG doesn't necessarily dictate the combat system. It's a broad enough genre that can involve many different types of combat system, including shooter.

Nah, i think they removed that because it literally reads as "Hey, just remember, you don't need to buy the brand new PlayStation 5 in order to play this game, because we'll release a PC version too!!!". Sony probably didn't like that and asked them to change it
When i see aLalafellcharacter wearing a cute glam
imagine buying a ps5 kekw

Now I’m confused. Should i buy ps5?
Now i have 3 games on PS5 backlog, since i dont have PS4.
Ff16.
Ff7R for backward compatible. Cyberpunk for backward compatible.
3 games seems worth it no?
if you got a good pc , like 5700xt gpu kind of good then you may just want to w8 for the sony ssds to hit the market. the selling point of ps5 isnt the 144hz , its the ssd architecture that allows for games to load more efficient than current ssds to the point of old ssds being unable to handle it, though they cant take full advantage of them yet cause until they hit the market theyd be unable to port the games to other systems.
There will also be amds version of rtx but it will still be a gimmick till the world catches up , meaning games optimising for rtx would be at most an afterthought.
Id say PS5 is well worth the purchase, it certainly is undeniably a pioneer in ssd architecture and for the gaming future.
