So sorry but I am against this - characters make a decision to buy gender locked items and then decide to switch their genders - again their conscious decision. They need to take the responsibility for those decisions and be aware of the implications.
Then why would they only allow wedding attire to be exchanged? Personally there is nothing wrong with it at all. It honestly would increase Fantasia sales which i'm sure they would like. I tend to switch races/genders here and there but now i don't want to the more they come out with more gender locked costumes and everything is on my female Miqo'te.

On a sidenote - In TERA i switched races so much the GM's just decided to give me all the Human/Castanic/Elin race equivalents of the costumes i had. Which was nice.

I feel it's because when you buy the Eternal Bonding Ring from the Mogstation, that itself isn't actually gender restricted. You can put the ring on any gender, plus you may also change genders before your ceremony anyway so the flexibility means you can exchange between the attire depending on what you actually need/want.
