Yes and that is exactly the problem. How many times do I need to repeat that? People are experiencing physical pain because of it.

Unless one had a medical condition that would prevent them otherwise, i honestly doubt anyone would really feel PHYSICAL PAIN from sliding their hand across their keyboard for a few seconds and bumping their hand up and down a bit. Again, its not really that hard if you do it outside of "left click like a maniac"

Plus, this fight will only be done once, maybe twice by each player at most. I dont see the issue, its not like you have to spam that hard every time you want to farm the extreme.

Make a macro for your mouse so it auto-clicks for you when you hold the button down. Or assign it to some other button.

Can only speak from mouse and keyboard, but my hands are torn up from a lifetime of software dev. For qte I just gently piano home row a couple times. It used to be painful when I didn't realize how forgiving it actually was, but you definitely don't have to go super ham on them at all.

Well, I appreciate your concern and find your advice worth it.

However, I do not think of buying such an accessory since I passed this trial and will not do it again. If the developers put more QTEs of this kind in the accessible quests ... I will simply stop playing FFXIV.

Most game QTEs aren't this bad in my experience, barring the early-mid 2000's games when God of War popularized the mechanic and everyone was trying to one up each other. And if they are I usually have already waited to buy a game ahead of time so I can know whether or not they exist and thus can send my money elsewhere. Compared to playing a game you've already put money into that suddenly springs a painful mechanic on you the situations aren't even remotely similar.

Also I'm really kinda flabbergasted by how vehemently people are clutching to a mechanic that requires absolutely no skill by their own admission and whose absence would not majorly affect the fight in any capacity. Even just changing it so the person failing the mechanic dies while everyone else lives is such a minor change.
