I'm not saying you can't have fun in your daily roulette but you won't gonna queue for any dungeon if you don't get any kind of reward for it.
Your experiences are not universal.

Lately I've been queuing for duties I find enjoyable but others don't (Dun Scaith, for example) just because I like it. People screw up in stuff like that a lot and it gives me a good challenge, especially as a healer (people sure like to die a lot, you see). I also do my roulettes because, well, it's a roulette. I'm not frantically trying to get the best gear or lots of tomes (and I'm not currently levelling anything), so roulettes are just a fun surprise to see what duty I get. Plus they're to fill spots, so I know I'm getting in a duty to help someone else complete it.

Sorry you have such a negative outlook on why people do things, but please be aware that you don't speak for everyone.
