Regarding Firmament Titles For 5.3

Personally I don't care about those at all, they would make me feel dirty because mostly botters have them and some no lifers like me.

I agree that the achievements and titles should remain the same.

I'm admittedly a bit upset not only because this means I'll have to compete with the botters along with the omnicrafters with massive amounts of time and help EVERY time a new season comes out, but I also skipped the last round because I was under the impression that I'd be able to get the same title later, and I wanted to let those listed above get their titles first so I didn't have to burn myself out trying to get ranked among them. But now I can't even get that first title, which I would have tried to get if I had known at the time that they'd do this.

This also discourages people who are newer or have less time to actively try to gain these titles, so only the same group of people will get them over and over. Tbh, it's killed a good portion of my excitement over the coming patch and the new restoration season. :/

I want new titles or the ability to rank top 100 again and take a spot so exclusivity is kept.
That's my opinion though i'm all for new titles but if not alteast take measure to keep the titles extra exclusive!

So basically, no one anywhere seems to think this was a good or fair idea to have new titles. So why the heck did SE decide to do this? What kind of people do we have running this game that are consistently this completely out of touch with what ANYONE wants?

A lot of people i have talked to on discord are for new titles me included because i think that the titles should remain exclusive i think their change of mind is great.
I'm happy if they went to a middleground like the titles remain the same but people who got them in x season also get a unique title.

I 100% agree with Square Enix's initial vision of only needing to compete ONCE in order to get into the top 12. They said if you managed to place, you would NOT need to do this again in other ranking periods because the achievement/titles would be the same. Now they go and do a 180? Why? It's not helping anyone. This is coming from someone who put an unhealthy amount of hours towards this in the 1st ranking period in order to secure top 12. The achievement hunters for the most part and/or botters will end up being the same group of people taking these top spots away from all the other crafters/gatherers who do not have the same hours to commit towards this. The top 12 will again be unreachable for over 99% of the playerbase. Keep the same titles. Do not go back on what you said you were going to do.

Am I missing something here? The titles are the same. They're just adding a qualifier to show when you get the title (phase 2/phase 3). People need to learn self control instead of thinking they need to get the new title qualifiers as the main part of the titles will still be the same.

I know someone who did the top 12 for my server who did it on the grounds we were told the titles would not change, it seems in someways somewhat rude to change it now after those people gave up so much time to earn their titles under the idea they only needed to do it once.
