The delevelling only happens if you choose to just respawn at base, and not get rezzed by another healer or someone with the Raise-L logos action. If you get rezzed by someone else, you keep your Elemental Exp.

This system inherently favors playing DPS over Tank or Healer. So if you have 10 healers or tanks farming an area to spawn these encounters then no matter how you do the math a lot of them are getting screwed. The 48 person one sounds rare compared to the 24 man raid so it is even less people out of the 72 in the zone.I am pretty critical of Eureka and limited player content, but a lot of this is misinformed so far.
The max cap is 72 people in the instance. So while not everyone will get in, a large majority will. Those who spawned the Critical Engagement will get priority over those who didn't. The solo battle will more than likely not be based off of DPS or enmity (because that would completely lock out certain jobs forever), but rather other conditions. They mentioned specifically dodging all the AoEs. Things such as this cannot be cheesed by parties.
The new logos actions look more organized and mounts right out the gate is a great change.
I am cautiously optimistic.
The entire system incentives playing DPS over healer or tank plus leaving the instance immediately to reenter another one to try and farm to get picked. Not going to go near this content probably for the 1st month until the issues are cleared up because they look pretty obvious right now and poorly thought out.
Imagine farming just to not get picked. People would be extremely salty or even getting sniped by an organized group farming content and selling runs.
We don't know the conditions yet, save your doomsaying. For all we know there could be a limit on how many of each trinity type are pulled in, could be based on healing as well, etc etc. This system inherently favors playing DPS over Tank or Healer. What? BA was never hard provided you joined the discord community associated with your DC. Furthermore, they hosted Frag runs on a constant daily basis. You could slowly get a full Elemental+ set without ever touching AV or Ozma.
If you didn't get it. That was because you didn't want it or disliked Eureka.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
There was no portal sniping, there was only lazy raiders who did not feel like farming items which gave them their portal.

I like the idea of favoring the contributors. It sounds like 1/3 or 2/3 can still get into a fate/whatever. You also should factor that the instance may not always be full and some people may need to spend time "in town." If you are one of the people that ran with parties that spawned NMs, exp/weeklies grinded, or box grinded in Eureka, then this should be welcome news.
Edit- On the portals: While people did technically have the right to take whatever portal, you are basically asking for failure by taking a portal without a preformed group. The person that was intended to go in, was in a discord with the others to coordinate the run and it often took hours for them to even get the that step. The point of the discord and planning was to get as many people through the content as successfully as possible. The reason why it was important to people was because of the rez rules and strength of the monsters inside. Everyone was welcome to join that discord and get whatever help they needed to upgrade their stuff. Now how many of the people that 'swiped' a portal would have still taken a portal, if they knew a preformed group was not going in?

This new content just sounds like Eureka but with more Fate grinding.
Why are you reading this? Keep scrolling.

That's an interesting point.
And I wonder if this would be a useful levelling tool.

This is my big problem losing the time I put into getting where I was on top of losing the time I worked on an individual encounter is annoying as hell and just makes my risk-adverse ass not want to play.
So why put it in the content? All it does is cause /shout to be spammed with "res pls <pos>"
Dying and interrupting your current task is punishment enough we don't need our progress put into other activities taken away from us on top of it.

The syncing doesn't bother me tbh.
I assume you get stronger by leveling mettle in there anyway. If level <80 players level jobs in there and it syncs them up to the base gear level they can level in there and not be super undergeared when they hit the level cap and can continue playing without having to leave to farm gear.
That means you can play whatever job you want and not only the one that has capped ilvl gear. Also solves the headache of the large ilvl spread and potential for people to be excluded based on ilvl as the expansion goes on with fresh level 80 jobs in there and people that are going to be hitting 520+ down the line and keeps the intended difficulty in tact like the level sync in normal FATEs do.
For the tank/healer issue they'll probably get some lost actions like they did with Eureka logos that buffs their damage significantly so they aren't super weak.
