Eureka gear had huge benefit in Eureka it was the only gear in the game with Elemental Bonus +, this made you do more damage and take less damage. The difference between using the elemental eureka gear and not having it was huge.The ilvl cap is also pretty ridiculous as it makes any gear earned in Bozja irrelevant in the content it's being played at same as Eureka was with it's gear. All the melds are removed.
What's the point of having a 430 sync if the gear rewarded is 485+ You don't get the benefit of it.
Sounds awesome to me. The start of I don't like it though is to be expected.
Sounds like you can earn your relic without going there to begin with and anyone who thinks it's not going to be a grind is delusional.
Anything outside of Skirmishes and Critical Assaults seem like a MASSIVE grind just to get a 1/48 chance of getting into a raid group. Then narrow that down even further if you are a tank or healer. This seems like an extremely busted design with very obvious flaws. Do not think for a remote second within the 1st year or two of this being out that you will EVER EVER get to do the 1v1 dual without being on a raid leaders good side. This seems very ripe for RMT boost.
Instead of using the regular mobs as a way to work towards minions or mounts they lock it behind an arbitrary system that makes no sense.
OP, as long as I don't have to farm logos actions in order to be prepared to even TRY running the big dungeon, then in my opinion they did learn and have removed the worst aspect of Eureka.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
And they were awesome in Eureka and in BA and they'll most likely be awesome in Bozja as well.
It's to level the playing field. Why should people with higher level gear be at an advantage over those without it. Eureka or potentially Borza capable gear was/is a different story it had/has to be earned in the content itself. It really worked well for content like BA.
I healed BA and have a number of clears to my credit on my main and a number of my alts and I can tell you the gear made quite a difference.

Yes, they were awesome and let you do amazing things. They were also a pain in the @$$ to collect because the drop rate was RNG based.
Because that's all a vertical progression based MMO offers? That's kinda the whole point. You put time in, you get stronger. Level Sync in NEW content does nothing but create artificial difficulty.
