The only two problems I've had with female bosses are when Ryne becomes Shiva- her light form is half naked & she's under or around 16, I know japan is known to fetishize under-age characters for various reasons---- and two, when female bosses have better hairstyles than whats available to the playerbase.

Why is something appealing to guys 'sexism', but appealing to girls is fine?

Don't look up her Savage-only form. Especially do not look up the cutscene that plays when that form is introduced.

i dont like it either, but thats how society see it nowadays.

man love anime and waifu = eew go away you creep
girl love handsome guy and bl stuff = you go girls!

its kinda sad but thats how it is. i just think it as the counter balance, because man have a lot stuff to delve into, like seriously the amount of anime, waifu, echiness that was cater toward man of culture is just absurd compare to girl, so i just think it as "unavoidable risk"

To be fair, I think putting good-looking dudes in the game would be appealing to guys, and for them too.

I could see that. I liked Byakko's appearance, minus the weird tiger-face right arm and he's basically naked. I guess it's just a matter of how you view things. I think Byakko's design is appealing because it radiates power and something strive towards physically.

So...The last boss of the most recent dungeon? I dunno, seems to fit the female side of what you were asking.Maybe just me.

I said "disturbing as hell sex scene". I didn't mention Abby's look. If you like here, then that's great. Good for you.

It's the amount of representation that's at issue.

There are far more sexy, scantily clad female human normal/near-normal NPC models than sexy, scantily clad male human normal/near-normal NPC models. When there's such a massive difference in representation, you're going to get claims of sexism because not all the preferences of the player base are getting equal representation. It's been an issue pretty much throughout video game history. The industry is still defaulting NPC models (and advertising) to appeal to the straight males (which can have a side benefit of appealing to non-straight females) while mostly ignoring the straight females and non-straight males.

Try drawing up a list of all the sexy, scantily clad male human normal NPC models in the game then compare it to a list of ll the sexy, scantily clad female human normal NPC models. Straight females and non-straight males would love to see their preferences represented just as much as straight males and non-straight females get their preferences represented.

If representation were close to equal, most of the claims of sexism would disappear (won't claim all, we all know some people are still going to complain regardless).

Whether people like it or not gamers, as in those who have multiple consoles, large game libraries, are more prone to buying new games/systems at release, etc, are predominately male. That's not sexism, that's just statistics.

Barring that, I'd have to agree with Amnmaat that women are traditionally viewed as beautiful, elegant and graceful while guys are viewed as rugged and rough. I think the designs are meant to reflect that.
