Magic require casting, when you're mixing liquids together as a chemist that's not casting. You would have to create a brand new job that uses the chemist concept but call it something else;

We need a healer that's different, not more of the same, and it would complete a 'mech' trinity, GNB, MCH and Chemist.

Are we playing Final Fantasy or STWOR haha? There's no need to complete a "mech trinity." Not even world of warcraft strives for such a thing.
And your shot at the picture I posted is at what she's wearing, which you and I know will always be the attire DoM healers will get, that will never change outside of a few dungeon sets. Heck, you strengthen the case for the potion-make mage I proposed with that picture since it would use the same DoM mage clothing the game has established.
