At the end of the day, when it comes to playing the game casually for the story, it doesn't matter what job you play. It is not inherently more difficult to press your AoE buttons in dungeons on Samurai than it is on Red Mage, or Dancer, or Dragoon, or whatever. The only possible exception would be BLM mostly because that job is a mess all the way up to stormblood levels. Trying to funnel people to one job specifically is just wrong plain and simple. People should be picking jobs based on which ones they enjoy playing, not which ones the community tells them is easiest. And, frankly, if someone has aspirations to play a job in high-end content, then they DEFINITELY shouldn't be picking a job based on which one they can get away with putting less effort in.It's a video game, dude. RDM is among the easier jobs to pick up and manage. If someone wants to play it for that fact, so be it. Blame the devs for making it one of the easiest jobs. But how someone else plays this game, someone who you will likely never even play with, is none of your business at the end of the day. It has no impact on you. I'm sorry you feel that RDM is your special job and damn anyone who dares play it because it's on the easier side of things. You getting upset at the mention of RDM being a class chosen for its ease is the silliest thing of all. And it's not "your job." It's a job you play. It's a job you main. It's not "your job."
Regardless of how "old" it gets hearing, you've taken the absolute wrong path and solution to remedying the "issue." Wanna know what I do when I see someone doing or saying bad stuff about my pet jobs? I tell them what they are doing wrong and why. Someone wants to get into the job? Here's the basics for them. And so on.
Which is why I will react strongly every time: Elitism is whatevs. Being toxic about it to another person is not.
You think I was being toxic? No, I was putting my foot down and saying what needed to be said. This whole idea some people have that CPM in savage content matters for someone who is just playing through the story is completely wrong. Most of the playerbase in this game doesn't even try to keep their GCD rolling in story content. Most of the playerbase in this game doesn't even hold other players to that standard in story content. So why should it matter at all?
