They billed it as a solo job as otherwise they'd have added in the blu duty finder immediately (another gripe- nowhere does it say you have unlocked it or its accessed through the Blu spellbook) and made aether mimicry/pom cure/frogs legs etc from the get go as they are critical functionally to the party system.
SE incompetence yet unhealthy obsession with balance is why it was so weak at launch and them shifting it to now be in a party for acquiring things smacks of half assing again, as otherwise they might as well let it join normal duty finder as a dps, nor would Yoship himself have booted a BLU that snuck in to the sycrus tower raid last week in the live letter.
After all, why else would we have several unique very functional and useful spells nerfed into the ground to be around party play and needing a parser to see the difference? 5% on condensed libra doesn't make you cast any less spells to kill a mob. Off guard and peculiar light was 50% which did make a huge difference.
I don't use mighty guard unless I'm soaking attacks to wait for a particular enemy to use a spell I haven't got yet. Exuviation plz you little shit... (took me nearly an hour thanks to rng being a bitch for that one)
My point about elemental damage was that it feels a little off that I have all these elemental spells yet in the overworld and dungeons it makes no difference when we could have had bonus damage to hit an elemental weakness. For full jobs its understandable to not have this, but limited job? Would have been a fun touch if some mobs had elements you could hit harder.
We shouldn't need Aetheric mimicry in order to have some form of emergency healing. The devs need to decide if they want it as a solo job and have it be the overpowered glory they advertised, or a party job and let it go in regular duty finder since it is fully functional as a dps even if not a healer or tank yet. Or if we must stick to blu parties only, actually make it possible to switch role as needed and use the basic role abilities from level 50
