Yes wouldn't be much of an incentive for multiple homes if they could. They've pretty much fixed that now but common banks should be a norm.Yea sutch basic features like sharing the same bank and house with them and sending them messages like it is common in other games should be possible right from the start, I cant understand how this is still not ingame. Also i think everyone should only be allowed to have just 1 house on each server but the way things are now i can understand why some ppl dont want that. I guess it would be much less an issue if all your chars on a server could share the same property.
The problem with storage isn't made any worse by alts vs. having a single character - although of course being able to transfer between alts would help.
Within the current system though, alts are actually better for glamour dresser management than if I was trying to fantasia between multiple "characters" on a single playable character. There's some overlap between what items are in each alt's dresser, mostly utility pieces, but there are a lot of things that only one of my several characters would use and their glamour plates are all nothing alike.
Having played with a few different character types, they all have something odd about them really. You just have to decide whether the bits you're happy with about the character designs are worth putting up with the bits you don't like. An actual redesign of the characters would be very unlikely at this point.And I personally would have one more wish, that I guess, would be really much work. Oh please SE, fix Elezen's bodyproportions. xD
I hope for that sooo much. Especially their necks look really weird while animations, emotes and so on. I gave this race a chance. And I like Elezen. But I also understand why other players blame me giraffe. :'D
For what it's worth, from when I was playing around in the character creator, I feel like the "young face" Elezen you're using seems more off-proportion than the other faces. I think maybe because you expect that younger characters should naturally have smaller proportions, but the game just puts all face models on the same body.
@Missbone
"Well its not that u need alt in this game in the first place"
I am tiered of such words. Really...
Also because it's not true. I mean, you can only have 3 specialists per character in crafting, but there are 9 classes.
And there are a lot of things you 'don't really need'. You also don't 'need' glamour, multiple mounts, housing and so on. :'D
If wanna play constantly different races you need an alt.![]()
I know lots of people who have a Lalafell alt.
And I don't want multiple houses. Just wanna the possibility to share my house with my Lala alt. And there are lots of people with alts and houses at different servers because sharing the house on 1 server isn't possible. Guess that's a big mess. Some rich people even pay for different service-accounts to share their house with their alts at the same server as their main and to mail their alts. That's just unfair. I sometimes use a friend for mailing. But most of the time he has no subscription. xD
@Iscah no. The problem isn't the young face. It's that giraffe neck and that most gear looks strange at Elezen bodies. For example this expensive angel outfit don't looks good at Elezen.
And there are real reasons why Elezen get hated for their long necks.
2 very famous Npc's of the game are Elezen. But nevertheless less people play Elezen. Mostly because of their body proportions. Especially because of this necks. The neck behaves also very strange while animations. Looks broken sometimes. I never recognised such matters as a Hyuran or Miqo, or Au' Ra, while playing.
I guess SE is not going to fix this. Would be too much work. But at least it's not impossible to redesign character classes. In this loadstone pic Balder's head seems small. But in game action that's no real matter.
But in deed there is an issue about this. My retainer (garden) has Balder's appearance as a Hyuran. When my Elezen stands next to him it's noticeable that the head of this 2m Elezen is in fact smaller than the 1,80m Hyurans. xD
But at least the head size is not the big problem. It's that loooong and weird behaving neck, no matter which face.
In the end I am going to stay Elezen for now, ignore that hate and be happy about the positive reactions. ^^
Have a nice day![]()

Will its true that you only can 3 specialisations active at each, you have the possibility to change them if needed and lets be honest how often you do that? I play mainly DOL/DOH and right now there is nothing that would require me to have any of these specialisations active. Sure some old recipes may require them. But if i really need them i have allways the option to change them. Also what you said about glamour is not true, you need glamour. Glamour, housing and style is the real endgame in this game. Who cares about gear lvls that only matters in some max lvl savage and extreme raids and is in more than 95% of the game scaled down to a fixed value.
Its like i said you don't need alts you can do everything with one, all you need is time and or a bit money. I met several ppl that changed their appearance every 1 or 2 days, so you don't even need an alt for that. Just find a nice place where the money grows on trees, i would suggest england because most ppl i met that did this came from there. Maybe its because the lot of rain that money trees can only grow there or maybe you can catch there some rare fishes that sells well or turn into money if you kiss them i dont know.
I have an Elezen alt. He looks spectacular in the angel coat, or at least he would if it didn't have those oversized wings on the back... The similar Mun'gaek coat is probably the most worthwhile thing I ever bought from Mog Station though. I disagree on "most gear looking strange" - some does but that's the case for all characters. Things that look good on one look awful on another.@Iscah no. The problem isn't the young face. It's that giraffe neck and that most gear looks strange at Elezen bodies. And again, prettymuch all the characters (at least the ones I play as) have something weird about them, even if their necks are fine. Male Miqo'te have the wide stance and odd slouch; circlets and masks seem to slip down over their eyes because of the way their head tilts. Male Au Ra have huge shoulders that warp the shape of gear. Female Roegadyn look awkward in a lot of things and something about the position of their hips makes skirts tilt forward oddly.
The Elezen neck movement is definitely odd sometimes, but I don't see it as a major issue when I like the design overall.
@Missbone
You see, if you're not rich and wanna play different races you need an alt. I switch my characters every day, when playing. Just because of the different game feeling. That would be much to expensive with Fantasia.
And as I've said at first. People who are lucky with one char don't need to understand why other people like to play constantly different chars. Just accept it and show a little bit of understanding for people who have a different play style. This sentences: There's no need for alt's is just rude. Really. xD
It's like: "You're way of playing and enjoying the game is bullshit."
If you don't wanna play constantly different races it's fine for you. But for players who like to do, the current situation is not so nice. Is that so hard to understand?
I hope SE is going to help out here. ^^
@Iscah it would be okay for me, if they one day, make re-design for all races to fix some issues, like Blizzard does for WoW. But if this ever happens, it will be far far away future xD
Greetings and a nice evening to you <3
Oh yeah, they definitely punish someone for having alts given the length of the games main story quests and the sheer volume of filler around.
The other thing they do is try to force players after glamour into doing savage and hard mode content at the end game. Having the dye-able eden armor behind a savage wall has been one of the worst decisions they have made in a long time, and I think Memoria Miseria was the second worst decision they made in a long time given how well week 1 went.
I agree, they should go back to the coil method. No normal mode, so if you want the story/glamour you have to do savage.Oh yeah, they definitely punish someone for having alts given the length of the games main story quests and the sheer volume of filler around.

Having to play through all the MSQs again to get an alt up is a mega pain. But I get why that is. Otherwise it'd be trivial to get an alt to 80 and current. Maybe it shouldn't be.
