But if i really need them i have allways the option to change them. Also what you said about glamour is not true, you need glamour. Glamour, housing and style is the real endgame in this game. Who cares about gear lvls that only matters in some max lvl savage and extreme raids and is in more than 95% of the game scaled down to a fixed value.

Its like i said you don't need alts you can do everything with one, all you need is time and or a bit money. I met several ppl that changed their appearance every 1 or 2 days, so you don't even need an alt for that. Just find a nice place where the money grows on trees, i would suggest england because most ppl i met that did this came from there. Maybe its because the lot of rain that money trees can only grow there or maybe you can catch there some rare fishes that sells well or turn into money if you kiss them i dont know.

And there are real reasons why Elezen get hated for their long necks.

2 very famous Npc's of the game are Elezen. But nevertheless less people play Elezen. Mostly because of their body proportions. Especially because of this necks. The neck behaves also very strange while animations. Looks broken sometimes. I never recognised such matters as a Hyuran or Miqo, or Au' Ra, while playing.
I have an Elezen alt. He looks spectacular in the angel coat, or at least he would if it didn't have those oversized wings on the back... The similar Mun'gaek coat is probably the most worthwhile thing I ever bought from Mog Station though. I disagree on "most gear looking strange" - some does but that's the case for all characters. Things that look good on one look awful on another.

And again, prettymuch all the characters (at least the ones I play as) have something weird about them, even if their necks are fine. Male Miqo'te have the wide stance and odd slouch; circlets and masks seem to slip down over their eyes because of the way their head tilts. Male Au Ra have huge shoulders that warp the shape of gear. Female Roegadyn look awkward in a lot of things and something about the position of their hips makes skirts tilt forward oddly.

The Elezen neck movement is definitely odd sometimes, but I don't see it as a major issue when I like the design overall.

You see, if you're not rich and wanna play different races you need an alt. I switch my characters every day, when playing. Just because of the different game feeling. That would be much to expensive with Fantasia.

And as I've said at first. People who are lucky with one char don't need to understand why other people like to play constantly different chars. Just accept it and show a little bit of understanding for people who have a different play style. This sentences: There's no need for alt's is just rude. Really. xD
It's like: "You're way of playing and enjoying the game is bullshit."

If you don't wanna play constantly different races it's fine for you. But for players who like to do, the current situation is not so nice. Is that so hard to understand?

I hope SE is going to help out here. ^^

@Iscah it would be okay for me, if they one day, make re-design for all races to fix some issues, like Blizzard does for WoW. But if this ever happens, it will be far far away future xD

Greetings and a nice evening to you <3

Well to be honest i can understand your point (and from the others of course to) and i also think some of the stuff mentioned in this topic would be a nice addition to this game. But you know, i just like teasing other ppl.

I think the best and easiest solution for ppl like you would be if SE would get rid of this stupid weekly tomestone cap or increased it so much that it's easy to get more than one set. That's something that bothered me already all the years, you need like 2 or 3 months just to get one full set because of this damm cap and if you play regular you can easy get your weekly max in one or two days. And something similar could be done for the Raids to of course, so it does not take ages if you wannt to equip more than one class. Also Fantasia should be available just in the mog store, its way to expensive there. There should be an option ingame at the guy where you also can change your hair and facial features, even if it would be expensiv and cost like 1mil or so.

My mother would say that ppl that wanna be someone else everyday have an identity crisis. Im sorry that you think that was rude, but honestly your way of playing is... XD

No question having an Alt helps saving your money, but i wouldn't even know where i should make the time for one. There is always so much stuff to do for me ingame that i'm already busy enough with this one chara and i play nearly every evening since years. So honestly the biggest mystery in this game until today for me is how ppl even manage to find the time for one or more alts.

Also i can understand if a RP guy or female wants to have more than one char for some reasons. I honestly never saw someone doing RP in this game. Except standing around and staring at each other in silence for eternity or spamming emotes counts as RP. If someone or a group really does RP i think they should use the /say channel for that. So that other ppl have chance of seeing what's going on and maybe join and don't think their is just another bunch of weirdos.

I like you, you seem to have a good sense of humor.

I would prefer some catgirls over androids, but our science is not far enough yet.^^

There are a lost cause and beyond the point of any kind of salvation.

Oh and i dont do any kind of Endgame Raid stuff, nor Savage or Ex. I dont even bother with the normal raids anymore since months, i usualy do every new instance just once for story and unlock and thats it. If i do PVE its most time roulettes when i need some tomes (what didnt happend that often) or beast tribe daylis. Unlike other MMO most Raids and Bosses seem more like work than fun to me. Maybe the long GCD is a part of that problem for, but i think bosses have way to putch HP in this game and that this is the main reason why they seem so boring and tyring to me. Im pretty sure it wouldnt hurt nobody if you would cut globaly the HP of all Bosses ingame by something between 25 and 50%.

People playing alts is... different than your play style? The horror! It doesn't matter if you don't understand why people play alts. Many do (including myself) for a wide variety of reasons - RP, raiding, having friends on different worlds or data centers, crafting specialists, and probably many more reasons than I can't think of.

Some don't do everything on all alts and some people have more time than you most likely.

There are a lot of people who RP and not everyone does it in say. You know why? Because a lot of people who don't RP get annoyed by seeing RP in say. But also, it depends on the server. Balmung and Mateus are huge RP servers and you will see RP in say on those all the time. Maybe your server doesn't have a big RP community? I don't much about the EU server populations. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Also, I don't think people who RP care if you think they are weirdos lol. That's just such a... judgy... thing to say though.

I think you're missing the point of alts if you honestly think that we're doing it to get more tomes and gear.

And personally, no, Fantasia (for any price or currency) wouldn't help either. My characters are specific people. They don't just change into each other - and if they did, I'd be paying for Fantasias and name changes non-stop. And I'd also have no room in the glamour dresser because it's full of Aurelie's stuff and has no space for everyone else's outfits, and I'd have to rebuild all the plates. Again.

So if having an alt is having an identity crisis, what does that make a Fantasia addict?

For that matter, what does that make choosing to play any sort of roleplaying game, or anything where you step into the role of a predefined character in a story?

My characters aren't identities, they're...well, characters. I made them up. They're not me. They're fun to play with though.

I don't RP but it's a similar level of inventing and developing a character that would fit into the story world - they have their own names and identities and backstories (to varying extents that I've worked it out). I also like playing with glamours, and there are plenty of ideas I come up with that only work on certain characters either by appearance or individual personalities. So I am constantly switching because I've had a new idea that I want to play around with.

That, and I just like seeing them come to life in the game. They're nice character designs and it's fun to watch them.

To be honest, I'm not sure either. Ignoring EX/Savage is a good start though.

The RP community tends to centre around certain servers, outside of those servers, if they're doing it in private, I strongly suspect they're doing it that way to avoid trolls. The second most likely reason is they're ERPers...in which case you probably don't want them using /say. They're usually courteous in that respect. And as long as they're doing that, I say "to each their own".

If you're on a server like Balmung where it has a huge RP community, the trolling is much less of a problem, people tend to RP a lot more openly, and similarly, they do on Mateus. One of the reasons Balmung is so big is because it's the oldest RP server, world visit has at least alleviated that somewhat.

The reason places like this are so big is because there is a big hub for RPers and people have tended to nominate servers to start communities in.

But I started out on Gilgamesh, which has a smaller RP community (which was bigger when I started) and you'd attract a lot more in the way of trolls and it'd get annoying at times when you're trying to focus, so sometimes the simplest solution to avoid being harassed is to RP in party, though it's much less viable in an open community, where walk ups might happen.

People love trolling RPers because they think it's a weird hobby or have some misconceptions about RP and RPers, which they also find weird. Some people end up trolling because they don't like seeing RPers in their chat and it's their retaliation.
