The first day in savage I dashed in for my melee combo because I thought the circle as asylum or sacred soil or something, insta death. The red mage struggle.

Man ain't this the truth. The amount of times I have run something for first time and accidentally used displacement and backflipped of a platform. Luckily usually only happens when I first run content so most people have been cool after I apologize and just have a good laugh about it.

Looks more like a tanking problem. I still see some tanks around still playing like before the 5.0 aggro changes, launching a shield lob on a pack, maybe a single aoe if you are lucky which doesn't even hit all the mobs, before beginning to cycle between them with the single target combo. Doesn't end well if you are a dps who start to aoe like mad right away. I sometimes wonder if these tanks are thinking "you pull it you tank it" when they see that you never use diversion before a pull XD

Maybe it is your playstyle as a healer?
Do you use hots on tanks while they pulling adds?
You run away from the tank when you got aggro?
You use to early to many heals?
Do you try to keep everyone on 100% hp, and therefore a ton of overheal?

and another one that often gets overlooked: do you run ahead of everyone else in dungeons? let the tank run ahead so the packs of mobs will target tank first. Or dps if they are the impatient ones. Let them run ahead of you

I am about this close to shelving my healer for good. Either WHMs are in desperate need of an aggro dump, or I have the single worst luck in the history of MMOs.

In nearly every single dungeon starting with Cutters Cry, I have died. Usually multiple times because a simple regen on the tank, draws EPIC aggro.

Every single dungeon. That is not an exaggeration. I was just in Pharos Sirius and died, not once, not twice, but FOUR times. The first death was - guess what? Aggro. Immediately upon zoning in. Seriously, it was one of the first trash pulls. I didn’t even drop a regen on the tank. We were just running down the hallway and ALL THE MOBS aggrod on to me. I was dead in two hits.

Almost certainly a tank issue.

I don't always put Regen on a tank while they're pulling, but even so their aggro generation is so nuts now a single tag will lock the mob to them even if Regen ticks its entire duration. One tank aoe and you can pretty much spam heal quite safely.

Unless you're dropping Medica II's randomly or something it does indeed sound like you're having terrible luck.

If you are out running your tank or not following their route etc etc, you're part of the issue, not the solution. Consequently, you are ruining the flow of the rest of the party and screwing the whole run up for everybody else.

Its dungeon 101. Tank goes first...

That's on them, not me. Why do you think everyone is just supposed to hang back and wait for the tank to move? Frankly, that's really dumb. To me it sounds like an ego thing. Does it hurt your pride that someone dares to go ahead of you or something?

If it's happening as often as they are saying, I'm thinking this probably isn't simply a matter of always getting bad tanks. Nothing against you at all Lium, sometimes different roles just take a while to really click. D:

What level is your healer at currently (linked char is showing only level 4, so I'm assuming this is on a different char). Good tips up above in the other comments!

As mentioned, you want to avoid overhealing as this will only create unnecessary hate. A few things I see fairly often is spamming cure II in low dungeons where a Cure I would be more than enough, casting medica II at the start of pulls/bosses, regening a tank while they are pulling. Be mindful with medica as well as that's a stronger aoe heal.

If you get hate on a pack of mobs, run back to the tank so they can pick them up. Don't run ahead of the tank. If additional mobs spawn off to the side of where you're fighting, try to be mindful of them so you don't accidentally aggro additional mobs.

Not trying to say this was obviously all your fault, but just some additional tips that may be worth checking off. Hopefully you have some FC mates or friends that you can lure into a dungeon with you to get more comfortable with things.

Actually, it's just plain annoying. If I'm pausing, or falling behind, it's usually because I'm making sure I'm actually picking up everything I'm grabbing along the way, or because something got missed and I had to smack it to pull it off somebody. It's also possible my sprint is on cooldown and someone else's isn't, so they decided to sprint off while I straight up can't. Somebody running ahead and pulling even more that I now have to run after them to grab (because a lot of people seem to like grabbing things and then NOT running back to the tank) then it just makes the pull messier, more annoying, and means it takes longer to actually group things up nicely to aoe them down.

Half the reason I don't like tanking is people running off ahead and pulling stuff for me, then dealing with the people who do that AND run around like headless chickens so I have to chase after them to actually pull the mobs off them. That doesn't happen as often but it's twice as annoying when it does. It just actively and unnecessarily makes the tank's job harder.

Adding to note that, as I said, I don't like tanking. I don't tank serious or max level content at all if I can avoid it. This is crap that happens in leveling dungeons all the time, and makes it hard to even want to learn to be good at tanking. It's part of what puts me off the role entirely.

The tank sets the pace, period, full stop. If the party wants the tank to pull faster, they can ask. That's been the social contract/understanding since MMO's became a thing.
