I've seen and done this more times then I like to admit....wait there's a Doom debuff there?
Heh. I have only been through there 3 times but we must have had Healers so experienced with the raid, I never *had* to notice it.
You watch, next time I'll eat it big time. Ha!
"If you see me running, you should be running too" is SUCH a key for being new to content. "Hey why did everybody go way over GAKKKKK"
(Most of the time, I know, I know. Not always )
Talking about tanks that should have to have a mandatory course on tanking, I was in a run (too many late night runs to recall which one) where two mini bosses spawn and the two tanks must each grab one and make sure they are turned away from the rest of the group or else everyone can fall to major cleaves. The OT doesn’t take one and of course we all get mowed down. Before we go again, one party member politely says that should ‘turn on tank stance’ for that part. He replies, ‘duh...I am already tanking.’ So they explained and he laughed and said that he was “shirking” during that phase because he was taking too much damage because his gear was crappy. More than one person replied, “You were shirking?!” But you are the tank! He was like..well yeah I kinda have to or else I die. *facepalm*
After a quick lesson in turning on/off stance, we have another go and between him listening to those trying to help, him no longer shirking and the rest of the group especially avoiding the area his enemy was occupying...well, we got through that phase thankfully.
I thought he was going to be one of the “Í play my way” types at first after the whole shirking business, but it turned out that he listened and we got through it. That was still a first for me though. I had never heard a tank say that he was shirking because of those reasons. At least he was honest.![]()

Today I learned the middle thing Garuda summons in Eden, is an instant kill. I've been playing BRD mostly, so I've just avoided it. But I've been playing RDM. And was ready for my melee and she did the thing. I was like, "Eh, I can get in and out before it goes off." So I dashed in and it looked like I tripped. Healer saw it coming though, cause I was picked up almost immediately.
The first day in savage I dashed in for my melee combo because I thought the circle as asylum or sacred soil or something, insta death. I had a pretty funny encounter with someone in an Alliance raid roulette who was looking for those who wished to join an All Vegan FC. Even down to consumables they use in game and glamours not using animal prints, fur, etc. (If that even exists, I'm pretty new! lol)
So Alliance roulette just now started off pretty great... we had 6 ninjas, which meant infinite trick attacks basically, and we were ACTUALLY rotating them. It was awesome.
AND THEN. When the final boss was at like 20%... everything froze, and all but 6 of us got disconnected
When people started trickling back in, we decided to just... go for it and pulled with 14 of us. This was the result :P
I do feel bad for everyone who didn't make it back in time to get credit, but this was still a pretty great run all in all.

Warning: Long detailed story post ahead -
Something that happened at an Ala Mhigo run made me facepalm, but also stressed on the inside when I got it via queuing the level 50/60/70 Roulette as Dark Knight.
1. I forgot to turn on tank stance during the beginning and first 2 mob sets aggroed my healer. The BRD reminded me, I turned Grit on, took the enemies back, and beat them without issues. I admitted my mistake and the healer and Bard forgave me.
The next two parts are where I got irritated:
2. When I evaluated the DRG, she had 4 of the 5 i290 AF3 dragoon armor on. But the realest facepalm is when I saw the i50 AF1 hands on. I politely asked the Dragoon if she had anything better. She said no. The healer politely reminded the DRG to go to Rhalgr's Reach later on.
I was wondering how could she not have the i290 AF3 hands if ALL 6 parts, weapon included, came together in a coffer. I didn't want to argue about it.
3. I had the BRD ask me on keeping on pulling saying, that dungeons keep on taking forever because tanks keep stopping. I am sorry to stop. I was just politely asking the Dragoon if she had gear that was more in line with the item level requirement of dungeon.
After we beat a few more mobs, I couldn't take it anymore and just left the dungeon saying the lines of having something came up. I didn't want to make a fuss about the gear with the updated Terms of Service and stuff, but I didn't want to carry people who couldn't take the initiative to gear up better if he/she made it this far into the game.
I apologize to the WHM healer for leaving like that with this post because he did agree with me on the Dragoon's choice of gear.

Aoes do not need to have visible different colors on the floor, the only place where you are safe is behind your shield and you did not do it in time.
This is great, dps wait a 30 min queue for a tank and then declare the one they get isn't up to their high standard because they dared to actually stop and type something. Then probably wait 10 min for a replacement once they push their current one to leave and queue another 30 min for their next dungeon. Sure saves time.
I am about this close to shelving my healer for good. Either WHMs are in desperate need of an aggro dump, or I have the single worst luck in the history of MMOs.
In nearly every single dungeon starting with Cutters Cry, I have died. Usually multiple times because a simple regen on the tank, draws EPIC aggro.
Every single dungeon. That is not an exaggeration. I was just in Pharos Sirius and died, not once, not twice, but FOUR times. The first death was - guess what? Aggro. Immediately upon zoning in. Seriously, it was one of the first trash pulls. I didn’t even drop a regen on the tank. We were just running down the hallway and ALL THE MOBS aggrod on to me. I was dead in two hits.
In every single Pharos Sirius run, I die on the second boss. The bird flies up in to the air and comes down on me and only me.
In both Castrum Meridianum and The Praetorium I died because of trash aggro. It’s gotten so bad I log onto my main or other DPS jobs just to see if these dungeons are as difficult as they are on my healer. Hint: they are not.
This is the most frustrated I have EVER been playing this game. I’m seriously considering deleting the toon. That’s how upset I am. I even had another healer who saw the amount of aggro I was getting and just sheer bad luck and typed in party chat “:0”.
Seriously. It’s absurd.
