Yes? You're aware that you are capable of creating your own parties, right? With your own conditions for how you want to go about completing it? There are plenty out there who are happy to learn blind. I've learnt pretty much every single fight I've done in the game blind, be it extreme trials or savage raids.

If most people in this game were good at it then normal fights would not need all the nerfs..

Actual nerfs when content is fresh are incredibly rare. Go look up when nerfs usually happen, especially the addition of the Echo buff. They're nearly always when content is long out of favour so that new players have an easier time getting through it (and so that old players who have done it countless times can get it done faster, so they don't bail instantly).

I remember how nearly impossible steps of faith was because a lot of people had problems following instructions. I dont want to count the time with randoms in normal dungeons where they did not even know how to aoe..and the countless of wipes in normal trials because people at lvl 80 still dont understand easy mechanics like stacking. There is a reason why one of the biggest threads on this forum is about stories from the Duty finder.

Yeah, and? Party finder isn't duty finder. You can curate your group to your heart's content. Become the "toxic elitist" within and kick people who aren't performing to your own specific standards as is your wont to do, especially given how little faith you have in your fellow players.

You are a player on a NA server, right? Then I have a little thing to explain : a lot but really a lot of european players are not at all that comfortable with english language. Then making friend need to consider this factor american or english fluent folks don't have.

French players will play with french people, german with german, russian with russian etc. for the majority of them. It makes things more complicated for Ex and need-static contents. The second factor to consider is european, what american people don't know or don't pay attention on it are less motivated by "competitive contents". You can't change cultural aspects by just some kind of sarcasm. It is a matter of interest, of priority. Making friends is a thing, to find some for Ex Savage and so is different.

The language wall, NA players totally ignore this matter they don't have to take in consideration.

i've always been on a DC with a language barrier somewhere since i was in Chaos and went to Elemental so i had to deal with multiple different languages with my time in Chaos i still got multiple savage fights and Extreme fights down during pugs despite language barrier
I was also in a very bad time zone for EU data center since im Australian (hence why i finally decided to move couple months ago) and as i said before i still got Multiple extreme and savage fights down in pugs and most of them were week 1/day 1-3 clears
cant use the excuse "its different over here" or "you just dont get it".

Finding a good group can be hard but its not impossible people just give up too quickly.

Bull, they are western cultures and all of them have that competitive its all about me mentality. the bosses are highly scripted you hardly need to say anything at all to get everything in order and do content.

I suppose we all have different experience. In mine PF is far to be fantastic. Most all players I was friend with since ARR are gone, for a part because of the miserable behavior of some random PUG in PF (and the feeling to lose their time, happening the IRL matters end to take too much time to lead them to find motivation to wait it fills and run for nothing).

The only rare who are still here are only because they have time and have a few irl friends who play the game. But not everyone have IRL friends who play MMOs.

And for sure, to be part of western culture doesn't mean we have the same state of mind. As European, I do can say we don't have the same temperament. Cultures are pretty strongly related to the language, we have more than twenty languages in Europe and all subtile but real differences in mentality, related to the "language logic of thinking and meaning".

I think the jarring thing Im seeing is you keep referring to languages and different cultures but dont refer to yourself as your home nation, but instead as the continental aspect. So youre saying cultures are related to language and demeanor but you refer to yourself in terms as a citizen of a collective of different nations and cultures. If thats not clear, youre not saying youre a German/French/Italian/Dutch/etc and that your close connection to your language and cultures make a different mindset, but a European - a member of a collective who has no singular language or culture.

If youre gonna link mindset to language and culture, probably should be consistent.

I'd say it's unfair for those who can't perform too well in EX trials. In the past, dyeable AF has been earned through grinds or crafting. Somewhere down the line in 5.3 or 5.35, the dyeable artifact gear will also be earned through different methods. How it will eventually be done remains to be seen.

At the same time, it is somewhat rewarding with a reasonable challenge in the case of the "secret" 5.25 EX trial providing a method of gearing my alt classes/roles without breaking the bank or waiting for several more weeks. I'd say that trial could also use a mount and rare crafting drop though.

If I am not mistaken, I believe that Memoria Misera (Extreme) is the first EX trial that rewards left side gear that is not a weapon or belt.

Hum... how could I say that? When I'm listening some americans speaking about Europe, there are a lot but really a lot who don't realize it is not a country, then they do a fast and utterly wrong parallel between USA and Europe. I was only referring to geographical, since FFXIV Europe has two worlds (Chaos and Light).

If you wish I explicit things. I'm french and in my experience, and some feedback I had, it is not rare to see german players trolling french players (the opposite is true). A lot of dutch and german don't like french people (the opposite is true). And considering, as you say, culture, language and mindset, from a country to another, we don't have the same school system, we don't have the same traditions, we don't have the same habits, of course, we don't have the same language that leads to the consequence that if we have some shared traits of culture (christanity -thought including Russia, we then have four different christanity-, some food, some arts) we do not have the same mindset on a lot of topic (the UE as political entity is a fair demonstration of that).

So when NA players pretend it is easy to build a party for Ex and Savage, they are missing a big difference between UE servers (we have two worlds and more than twenty languages) and NA servers (three worlds, four main languages considering South America : Spanish, Portugese, English and French). Worlds and servers are shorter with pretty much more languages even only considering the most used. Since again, a lot of players are not that comfortable to play in english, International FCs we could expect are rather anonymous. We find more of them... on japanese servers (but latency... for Savage or Ex... hem...).

The point Im making is consistency in your position, regardless of your perceptions of other people. All Im saying. Also, while I know there are quite a few americans who dont realize Europe isnt a country, despite the EU being a trade block that is in many ways operating as a country, Id like to suggest most americans know Europe isnt a Country but a continent with many countries. Would probably bolster your point even further to not assume Americans cant tell that difference and just correct on a case by case basis. Youre also shooting yourself in teh foot because you were speaking about different mindsets due to language/culture, but then said Europeans as a whole arent into the more challenging content and that is what separates US based servers from European servers. Maybe Im just not making the mental connect and you can clarify, but it sounds like youre talking cultural differences and language barrier issues between english speaking US servers and other international servers, but then refer to the mindset of Europeans (which is many cultures/languages) having the same mindset when it comes to more challenging content.

This all being said, Lets talk about party formations within the EU side of things. Since its comprised of many sub blocks with some level of language barrier, youre saying that it is not as easy as the US when forming parties for EX or Savage content.

Aiite, thats a fine premise. Less people where you can communicate would make forming parties more difficult. Cant fault that. Then you got trolling a bit between groups cause, well, from what Ive understood ribbing one another is pretty normal among europeans. Anyways, that hurts chances of forming parties. Alright. So PF isnt as efficient in Europe as in North America or South America. What I am running into is, despite all this, are you suggesting that European players cant come up with 7 other people to form a pug to do content relatively effectively? Out of server populations across europe of 120k, finding 7 other people is not possible? Even if you say there is some trolling among language groups, it doesnt mean everyone does that, particularly if people are motivated to complete content.

Im critical of this because it comes more across to me as finding excuses for not tackling content rather than anything else. Let's talk about you specifically. France is what.... roughly 6 hours ahead of the east coast of the US? Dont get me wrong, that is a fairly big time jump. But your English is more than enough to join and communicate in parties in the US servers, let alone Canada and Britain. So your worst enemy is Latency in this regards, and unless your internet is mediocre, youll be fine. If anything, your english is better than some native english speakers and you could easily act as a bridge between two language groups. More work for yourself, but its possible and would allow two groups who normally wouldnt interact to be able to work together. You could help that.

Point is that Im skeptical that all the points you are making are preventing you from gathering 7 other people to complete content. Make more difficult, sure. Ill grant that. But not so much you wont be able to get savage or ex content done. If you want to do something in the game, you'll find ways to do it. Im not saying it'll be easy as lessay the NA servers, but Im not seeing your point being sufficient enough to stop you from completing current content or that it is justified to lower content difficulty so many people can 'complete' it.
