It's a mount with a possible seasonal theme. It doesn't make it a seasonal event mount. I think SE is moving away from seasonal event mount in favor of account-wide store mounts.

Maybe I'm wrong. When was the last time they had a seasonal event mount? The Valentione couples mount? When was that and is there anything newer than that? Is there any seasonal event mount that does not end up at the Mog Station as a single character mount?

Halloween, last year. It was a cute orange Ahriman with a purple eye, fitting hat and special "attack".

I don't count Yokai or Garo or Rathalos as they're collaboration.

There are also the white and red magitek mounts. Are those not part of an event?

Regardless, so seasonal event mounts are actually in the minority. Most mounts are exclusive store mounts and they're account-wide. Maybe we will get a seasonal event mount later this year, but it's not this latest one as it's an exclusive store mount.
