Oh no, no NO to the hells NO! I swear if they bring back that little dweeb I'm gunna rage and by rage i'll stare at my screen disapprovingly whilst drinking my tea disapprovingly and shaking my head...disapprovingly.

I don't really buy into the Time Bubble thing and I doubt many other people do either. Not just because of lack of suspended disbelief but moreso because a lot of time has passed in their real lives too. So its been a long time for a lot of people and new players play through so much content by this time the events of ARR feel like old news. Two words for you my friend... Time. Bubble.
Add to that the fact that while we the player have been privy to various cutscenes and scenarios featuring Gaius working against the Ascians/Empire and with the Eorzean Alliance, we the WoL have not had as much exposure to him and are likely still getting comfortable with the idea of working with a former enemy.
That said...
I also cannot truly go for your second point either. Since Kryle and Alphinaud at multiple times bring this information up to the Warrior of Light as well. So even though you weren't really there for the cutscenes... you are aware of the information and their stories.

Yep. That is exactly what I was talking about.I think Vahlnir meant "dead but not dead".
Like Nanamo, (Ilberd to some degree between 2.5 and 3.4/5), Gosetsu, Gaius, Yotsuyu, Zenos, Y'shtola (twice). And that's not counting Ascian possessing dead bodies and stuff.
I too think playing the "you think I was dead, but I was just waiting to conveniently slide in your DMs when the MSQ needs me too" gets annoying quite fast.
I think its fantastic. To each their own I guess ^_^;Keeping up with who is alive or dead or revived or possessed or in the lifestream or just an aethereal projection or a successor of a predecessor by the same name is getting out of hand. I feel like I need Microsoft Visio open on my other monitor to keep a flowchart for all of this. I loved Emet's story, and I felt for the Ascians... but everything since 5.0 ended has been a jumbled mess.
What Im curious to know is if the Ascians and Garlean characters can all be brought back to life in some way, Maybe we could do the same with Moenbryda and somehow Papalymo.

How did they keep it from decomposing for 100+ years?
He looks picture perfect. At least SE could have brought in some proper zombie action.
A sacrifice is necessary and we have to choose which one of our friends pays the ultimate price.
With lasting repercussions in both relationships and story unfolding.
One can dream, right?

The story was more complicated than it needed to be, sure, but up until KH3 I enjoyed the story. Then it felt like it was just...rushed out the door with little to no forethought, and they released DLC later which should have been in the game to begin with to make it feel more complete. The end of the game was about the only real good part though, at least in my opinion. I can't justify giving them more money for the DLC. They should have just released a shorter game as a paid download that was the final battles. lol Most of the entire game felt like it never really mattered up until that point anyway, and the overall story had already been told in games prior.
