Based on this version, it's just as much about Ryne being consumed by Shiva and just wanting so be herself one more time as it is about a general retelling about Ysale's feelings as flew on Hraesvelgr to her death on our way to Azys Lla (or what we thought she felt as we watched it all happen).

And like Oblivion, the song's voice gets more assertive and gains more agency in the second half.
