So you decide what is permitted to be considered harassment? That's pretty narrow minded. Using the ignore function, every person gets to decide for themselves what they consider to be the expression they want to hear. But when it comes to visuals, you've decided 'nope, there's no such thing as visual harassment, so it's all fine'.

It's pretty clear from this thread that there are people that consider glams to be akin to harassment, and I can all but guarantee people have different opinions on what is harassment and worthy of being /ignored for in chat. Frankly I find it childish that there's even profanity filters in games still, but I don't care if other people want to use them- because ultimately it's their choice what they see, and unlike some people I can respect other people's choices.

You really copy pasted just that part of my sentence without the full context? Talk about deceptive. You also proved my point, that people aren't allowed to dislike Roes in dresses but apparently they are allowed to dislike profanity. Who are you to be the judge of that?

They aren't just seeing it on their screen, now are they? They purposely cut out just that section to make me look like a bigot when I've been arguing for consistent tolerance across the board. I bet you think you're very clever. I finally reached my post limit so I'm done for the day.

If I was an overly sensitive person I would have been insulted to see something important to my country be displayed as evil misshapen monsters, and to see my language to be used as a way to name evil creatures.

But I'm not upset by this. Why? Because I understand that it isn't a deliberate attempt to offend irish or scottish people (we share folklore and our gaelic languages have similarities). Just the same as how my muslim friends in the game understand that a male character in a dress isn't necessarily a deliberate attempt to offend them. Sometimes it is simply a person who likes to wear a dress.

Do not pull the religion card. I know people who have faiths that are typically seen as very intolerant, to not be bothered by anything they have seen in the game.

It is actually disgusting how you try to use religion to push your glam removal agenda.
Lol. I was giving you an example of where someone might be offended by clothing choices. No surprise you got offended by that, too. Do you still deny that some people put on absurd outfits and follow people around for the sole purpose of harassment? If you do not deny it then ask yourself, why would they do that if they didn't think it irritated anyone? If you do deny it you must be oblivious, for I have seen several times with my own eyes large, animal-suited individuals circling around people and following them, me included once.

You can say big oof all you like. It's not equivalent. Everyone browsing this thread now has seen the public misrepresentation. Not the same thing as one person seeing it on their screen and sharing it with no one.

I mean, it's really not harassment though if someone doesn't like another's outfit. That's like saying "those apples are harassing me because they're here!" in the fruit section of a grocery store. Any person with a good head on their shoulders wouldn't be "harassed" by an in game outfit. Or apples.

If you dress like an apple, I can't ignore that in game.

If you say 'I like apples' guess what, I can ignore you.

Doesn't matter if it's harassment or not, the choice is still mine. And perhaps it's petty for me to ignore someone because they say they like apples, or because they dress like an apple.

But it's not half as petty as saying I shouldn't have the ability to choose to ignore that if I want to when it would have literally no effect on the person that dresses like an apple.
So your choice is to potentially give no one else a choice. Got it.

I would get annoyed by this because someone is following me. Not because they're wearing any specific sort of outfit. If I were to report them I would report that they are following me, and I would say nothing about the outfit that they're wearing. The act of wearing an outfit someone dislikes is not a punishable offence, even if they are committing other offences while wearing it.

I'm not going to bite on your other points if you can't debate back, genuine shame about the post limit and I mean that sincerely, it's been entertaining even if not very productive

BUT GUESS WHAT?! YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO IGNORE SOMEONE DRESSED LIKE AN APPLE!
You can literally turn away from them. You can not look at them. You can use your eyes to look a different direction or turn your head if you really feel like burning them extra calories! I repeat what I said from earlier: If you're so fixated on someone else's character to where you can't possibly look away from their glamour, perhaps you need to do some self reflection. Because honestly, that's just sad. A normal, well adjusted adult would be able to go "Eh, I don't like that." And then MOVE ON WITH THEIR DAY.

You could say the exact same about the ignore function- so you'd be all for removing blacklist from the game and the profanity filter then? Cuz you don't have to read what anyone is saying in chat.

A normal, well adjusted adult knows how to read things people type without being offended.

Again, this is an absurd argument. Highly abusive people are a sad reality, both of these functions are flat out required in any online environment to protect victims of abusive and inappropriate behaviour.

Or are you honestly of the mind that a questionable glamour is on the same level as a highly abusive player?
