Shes 14 - obviously still by far not old enough to date him, but that wasnt the intention of Rods suggestion nor of her action, which both aim at "improve and know yourself before you start hitting on people".

Hes not getting taken away by a child to make out with her nor was that ever suggested - she swoops him away to prevent the whole grotto to smell as bad as he seems to...

Its not like this is his partner. She is just someone that wants to help him by giving him some advice. (Like taking care of yourself) I did not see that as him dating a little girl (and I doubt SE would create such a quest). At least he is in nice hands there and may find out more about presenting himself. With Astrid he is in the hands of someone that dont even call their helpers by their name and sent them out on deathly missions.
