I was not even coming close to implying Savage content is not important. I personally do savage, and without it, I would likely quit the game entirely. I need the challenge.

What I was saying, is do we want, lets say, Eureka instead of a unique relic quest line. or, The Firmament instead of crafted primal weapons, what else, hunts instead of more fleshed out savage zones, whatever you like to pick and pull that Square-Enix has cut back on, in efforts to create something new and "fresh."

I genuinely like certain things, but them taking away from GNB and DNC I think was a bad move. I dont play Hrothgar or Viera so I could care less, but I couldnt imagine being one of the thousands of people who do, and then come to find out I cant use a certain haircut.

    That was the topic.
And yet you don't see the very flaw in your argument?

I need my challenging content, but those other people shouldn't get it! -- Really though, it's fairly common on these forums: "Focus on the content I enjoy." But the nature of an MMO is many different people with different interests play, and for some people out there, that thing you really think the game could do without is the best part.

Personally, I'd enjoy several of your ideas there. But I've also enjoyed several of the things you suggested be cut.

For more high end content, personally I'd like to see "savage" or similar 4-person content. But I'm not going to ask SE to scrap things others enjoy to make it happen.

1-5% of the playerbase doing Savage seems really small. Is there a lucky bancho graph showing that? I know Bancho records it on Mount obtainment/Final floor achievement (since it's an actual factor), but I see waaaay more people then just 5% at max doing savage, especially now with E1-E4 being much easier then older tiers.

The only time I noticed an animation issue was during 5.0 with Gunbreaker. It seems like they were using the same running animation for Samurai, and the walking animation made us look like we were on ice. I believe the issue was mainly for lalafell, but come 5.1 we had new animations matching the other races and it worked out.

The animations for DNC and GNB on their own are fine, however the switch for GNB's sounds need to be addressed. After hearing the old 5.0 sounds I really feel that they had a lot of weight with the gunshots. Though I feel 5.1 did bring some sounds I really enjoyed (like Burst Strike and Fated) and I feel should be kept.

Blue Mage is the trickiest piece of content and I know there are people still doing it, but the majority seems to either not have it leveled to that 60, or hasn't obtained all of the spells. Locking the rez spell to the Carnivale is a HUGE roadblock for people who want to attempt the savage tiers, and it was a very dumb idea since the fight before the final one was way harder to the finale. I feel that if they made the spell earned from clearing the last challenge only the boost in people attempting synced savage would go up exponentially.

That being said I do still enjoy the content, however I would like going forward a refinement of what we have, then going headfirst into new things least we get another crowd reaction similar to Eureka.

if you can't clear the carnivale, you have no business trying any harder content, these people should stick to 4 man dungeons or ask from friends who are willing to carry them and it's not like you need revive anyway.

Hm, I had a real hard time to read what the topic creator mentioned with the huge post. IMO, it makes the more verbose FFXIV Youtube guides look more reasonable in length (and that's me being generous.)

After reading the other comments, here's my 2 cents.

All the content in this game is not for everyone. People do different duties for rewards, for glamour, for fun, for the thrills of combat, for practice, for achievements, etc.

Blue Mage ain't for everyone, but does provide a somewhat creative way of revisiting older content for those who want to test their mettle in battle.

I don't BLU but I have friends who do, and they are enjoying it. I've unlocked DNC and GNB but not played them so far; again several friends have switched to one or the other as their main, and they are happy with them. I have a Viera alt just about to finish 2.0 and I've very much enjoyed her so far, she certainly hasn't felt half-baked as you put it. I feel as though most headgear would look ridiculous on her so I'm happy with the limited headgear. I also like the hairstyle she has.

My point being issues that you have with certain aspects of the game are personal to you. They are not FACTS. In your opinion certain things are half baked but as the thread has shown, others disagree. I have issues with the game - I would like less dungeons and instanced content and more stuff like Eureka (but with level sync pls!) so that I can do things in an open world environment with plenty of others around. In MY opinion, this was fun - but I don't present my issues as FACT since they're a consequence of my personal preferences

The choices that you're offering me, OP, make no sense whatsoever
