They plan to make the last two ARR dungeons into solo duties anyway so they shouldn't waste any time on the Duty Roulette version. It is a terrible idea to have heavy story exposition in multiplayer content in any online game and they should have realized that back then like they did with HW onward.

Any source for that? Would be cool. But afaik, it was only officially said they'd remake the 2.x Patches, the two MSQ Dungeons from 2.0 being changed was mere speculation. But I'm ready to be proven wrong.

I knew it was one of the live letters so I had to dig back. Looks like I remembered it only partially correctly; in the Q&A for Live Letter 53, they mentioned wanting to make the MSQ dungeons work with trusts. Though in hindsight, they probably meant all ongoing MSQ dungeons going forward. Looks like it is still a strong possibility though not definitive.
