WoW is keyboard smashing 4 keys because that's all you have since the prunes.
There's no more randomness there than here. The attack timers and AoE zonal indicators no more inconsistent than here.

Prepositioning is just as important there, even if there may be a little more to force you from memorizing the exact positions, down to the second, to optimally be in over the course of a fight.

...And yet I have... more keys on my main WoW spec (27) than most of my XIV jobs actually utilize? And their order isn't prescripted into 1234567854 Dragoon combos and the like, but instead follows dynamic modifiers and tactical gambles? Not that it particularly matters. Bloat isn't exactly worth boasting about in either game.

I love XIV and all, but you're off on most marks here.
