    There's no more randomness there than here. The attack timers and AoE zonal indicators no more inconsistent than here.

    Prepositioning is just as important there, even if there may be a little more to force you from memorizing the exact positions, down to the second, to optimally be in over the course of a fight.

    ...And yet I have... more keys on my main WoW spec (27) than most of my XIV jobs actually utilize? And their order isn't prescripted into 1234567854 Dragoon combos and the like, but instead follows dynamic modifiers and tactical gambles? Not that it particularly matters. Bloat isn't exactly worth boasting about in either game.

    I love XIV and all, but you're off on most marks here.

    Because obscuring your own UI would be so much more useful than just... seeing the fire already covering the floor?

    Used to raid on WoW back in Wrath of the Lich King. The fights were just as scripted as they are here, really, they just leaned more towards gimmicks than big AoE circles and cones. Can't really speak for how it went after that, since my guild collapsed in a black hole of drama and I never bothered to get back into it again beyond LFR and quit in early Legion.

    Sure, there is a bit of control, and that's what makes them tolerable. And, for the most part, it's easy enough to dodge AOEs. It still doesn't make some AOEs in WoW any less annoying, particularly those swirly AOEs that come in succession for a set period of time.

    Odd because there are so many people who raid in wow who don't even used add-ons for call outs due to it not being hard to pay attention. as for Insta death there are none within the game for raidingat the rate FF has them, FF on the other hand has a lot of those and only 2-5% of the player base has enough brain cells to do the fights that have them. If you're gonna try to shit on another game At least look at how it functions vs how the game you're defending functions.

    Also ACT, Cactbot, And people botting entire fights in FF in comparison to Bizz Devs realizing a fight needs to be more challenging over making content easier And people still do full clears without DBm or Big wigs. Yet in FF they've nerf'd the majority of content and again, people still can't do it without Echo.

    I didn't say anything about difficulty, just annoyance. It's not fun and I play to have fun, and yes, a scripted fight is fun for me.

    Ok then play FF to have your fun. What you find annoying is an opinion and is ultimately subjective to the fact that the whole of both games have pros and cons to what make them fun or not for those playing.
