    I'm not excited about the future patch at all. Just one dungeon?

    First off I want to say how much I love this game. FFXIV has been my home. I hate take a break but, considering the future patch just has one dungeon and a raid. There is not alot content for players like me who don't craft or gather. While I do like the gathering and crafting system. And appreciate how they made it more approachable. It is still not content that I enjoy. And I'm upset that this is the way we are getting our relic gear. It's almost as bad a Eureka. (which is something that I never had time for or enjoyed. If I wanted to play ff11 I would just go play ff11)
    I don't understand. Shadowbringers was a super successful expansion it brought in so much money. But it seems we are getting less content for it not more. Meanwhile we still have a healer shortage and the two new races have limitations. While I appreciate the devs for what they do. I feel like the higher ups need to be willing to have more time and money put into the game.
    I know I'm going to get alot negative comments for this. But I just want to give out my feedback.

    1 dungeon, 1 trial, a new set of raids, more incentive to learn something new and try something different since crafting/gathering has been completely redone. Diadem finally serving a purpose, and more MSQ.. I think that's enough for me anyways, even if I don't craft/gather. More adjustments to pvp could even mean they might return 24 man pvp back since its clearly reduced the queue time significantly. For all we know, they might be reserving resources to work on things like craftable GNB/DNC weps and hey, maybe male viera and fem hrothgar :V

    Oh, and a new difficulty on EX's... so there's that.

    There are currently 73 dungeons in the game. 71 if you take out Praetorium and Castrum Meridanium. That's a LOT of dungeons.

    A new difficulty on Extremes would be interesting; I didn't read/hear that anywhere in translations/comments.


    But I think apart from the story, which I'm always excited for, my interest is conditional on whether the part 2 of the 5.2 liveletter addresses how boring healers have become, even in Savage. There has been so much feedback on this and the developers have not acknowledged it much since Shadowbringers was released. It is remarkable and is the biggest drawback of the expansion for me. Shadowbringers is still an excellent game per se, but yeah, it's introduced a peculiar unevenness that sometimes justifies pausing a subscription.

    On the other hand, pausing your sub is not a bad thing, for you or the devs. It's just life.

    It's not really like the dungeons ever amounted to much more than run it once and then done with it. As they are, they just don't have much of anything going on in them aside from being pretty.

    I tried the crafting rework & Ishgard Restoration. For someone who hates micromanagement, it's still a no-go.

    Ex trials are already too difficult/frustrating for me. The amount of times I've attempted to PUG Ex Ramuh without success *shudder*.

    PVP is a chaotic bore that I only do for the XP & glamours.

    I do Normal raids for the story, and then never again, except through roulettes. Same with Normal trials.

    So, yeah, from my vantage point if they want to strip away dungeons I'm going to be looking for something else to fill the void, and I don't think that anything I've heard yet is going to qualify, unless the new Eureka somehow isn't terrible, and is viable for solo players.

    I am going to make an assumption and say you're a raider, and if that's the case, I understand.

    But for people who don't do the end-game raids, there's not a lot else to do at end-game besides the expert roulette.

    Edit: I should say, not a lot else for combat classes to do. Obviously if you're a crafter you're going to enjoy next patch.

    I dunno, they all seem relatively relevant to me, but that probably depends on your definition of the term. I get various ones daily in roulettes, and they help me level.
