What BLU got this patch is confirmation of permanent limitation.
Thank god I never wasted my time on it.

I mean, SE never intended to lift the limitation for this patch. Before, they basically told us "we'll consider feedback, but not until after patch 5.15." And now, with the update here, I can assure everyone that my opinion on the matter hasn't changed in the slightest. Blue Mage deserves better than this. I won't rest until Blue Mage becomes a full job.
Got BLU to 60. Got all my spells. Haven't done the Log or Achievements and wont. Wont use BLU till next update. Which will probably be next expansion. Please don't make anymore limited jobs.
Yeah. He's like "wasted time", as if it's a limited time thing, as if games are a investiment. Do what you need to have fun, and that's it, lol.
--------
Now, I think BLU is OP, just thinking of it being a normal job it can completely substitute to all other jobs if BLU were Lv 80 by now. I mean, why would someone want any other Job over BLU if it was a normal job?
I don't understand the fuss over BLU being able to get spells with parties. It all just tells the devs to convert these instance spells into overworld/totem/marked carnivale rewards. This is not the problem, it SHOULD be like that.
All BLU needs is a roulette to it with a weekly reward and that's it. This game is all around the roullete, and everything that out of it is dead on arrival if does not have a relic attached to it.
You wouldnt take a tank BLU cos they are kinda pathetic, also with just 3 healing spells i dont think taking healer blu would be ideal especially for prog. As for others, you want to take a range of classes to ensure full party bonus for survivability, on top the fact ive heard BLUs dps is being carried mostly by a strong burst window and an arbitrary dps buffYeah. Savage Completion Rate ~5%+ of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to savage"
Ultimate Completion Rate ~1% of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to the hardcore raiders"
Frontline/ Rival Wings/ Hidden Gorge Mount Aquisition ~0.05-1% of active players. Community: "Ugh PVP is so dead in this game, they should stop investing in it"
Blue Mage Morbol Mount Aquisition ~0.01% of active players. Community: "WoW bLuE mAgE iS sO fUn AnD aCtIvE i CaN't WaIt FoR mOrE lImItEd JoBs"
I agree completely. Some of the new spells are fun because they are what I thought a real job version of BLU would be like. This patch hasn't made me feel that I'm glad that BLU is limited, it's just made me want to play it in all the rest of the game even more as my main.I mean, SE never intended to lift the limitation for this patch. I'm obviously not talking about savage and ex, I'm talking about the most popular content, roulletes. Outside hardcore content, all would go BLU.You wouldnt take a tank BLU cos they are kinda pathetic, also with just 3 healing spells i dont think taking healer blu would be ideal especially for prog. What a healer is there for when BLU has White wind? No healer can beat that. And now it even have AoE and single target heals for when his HP is low to use white wind again.
Blu tank is pathetic? Diamond back puts any normal tank into uselessness. On top of that BLU tank can offer support to damage such as Condensed Libra, while normal tanks can't do that anymore with slashing resistance.
What DPS would stand with 500 pot from Revenge Blast? I'm sure they all would be with less than 20% hp to this. There's no way BLU dps is bad now with his capabilities.
MrHappy has videos of his team of BLUs taking down all the Alexander Savage end bosses so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
BLU can definitely hold its own. It's honestly probably too powerful to put in to regular content as it is right now. But that's actually fine. Let it be its own thing.
Now that all being said, I wouldn't mind some better options for putting together BLU parties. The BLU PF... thing... is unimpressive to say the least.
But as far as being capable of doing content goes... well...

I'm loving how versatile Blue mage is, I'm loving healer blue mage. It's so much fun, doing primal spells, buffing DPS spells, an Small AoE+ Esuna healing spell with Mog Pom? Goodbye AST!!
And Square, thank you for making BLU fun!
I'm definitely enjoying the old content with nothing but blues mages and seeing what they can do.
I also Tanked for the first time, as a Blue mage and I really enjoy BLU tank
I just wish that you can save spells in slots when you change "active set"
