[Request] Please remove the daily post limit!

Disagree. There are definitely certain posters on this forum that we don't need to see more posts from. Plus It's a way to combat spam topics. I cannot even begin to fathom how much of a mess this forum would be if anyone could post as much as they wanted on it.

Never said It was a solution. It's pretty obvious why there is a post limit and I highly doubt they are ever going to remove it.

And yet I still see trolls dwelling on the forums. Daily cap helps mitigate that.

They'll be found on pretty much any site in some form. It's not really a valid reason to have a post cap in place when, again, FFXIV's rivals do not embrace such a stance themselves. The rules are enforced pretty strictly around here so it's not like people would get away with spamming anything offensive for very long.

There's also an ignore function, so the power to ignore specific posters is literally there for those who want to make use of it.

There's an ignore function in place to hide posters that you don't want to see and it's pretty standard for most forums to not limit the amount of posts that someone can make each day.

It's not 'obvious' since no official reason has been given to my knowledge. It appears to be a holdover from the days when the game's community was much smaller.
