[Request] Please remove the daily post limit!

Hello!

So, I've been thinking of ways to promote discussion on this site and one of the first things that came to mind was to suggest the removal of the daily post limit. I think it'd go a long way to encourage more players to engage in discussion with each other, especially since it's all too easy to hit the daily cap when caught up in a fast moving thread.

I don't think there would be any real downside to the removal, either, since other discussion sites linked to rival MMO's seem to function just fine without a cap in place.

As someone who enjoys posting and who has made quite a few friends through doing so I think the benefit to the forum posting community would be immense.

There's a daily post limit? Obviously I wouldn't know as I've only got 160some in 5+ years. LOL

From what I gather, it's tied to the site in general being fairly 'old school' in quite a few ways. I think the site in general is in need of a makeover -- which is something I know happened to WoW's official site/forums a few times over the years. For now, though, simply removing the cap would be enough to promote more engagement. I'm tired of sinking my teeth into a lore debate only to hit the cap and see things fizzle out by the time I can post again.

Yep. I have hit it a few times, not really recently. But anytime there is a big in depth discussion, it all just comes to a halt when you or other active posters use up their 20 posts. Gotta wait 24 hours to have discussion again, and by then it's kind of died down. I don't really get the post limit, or rather I don't get why it's so low if there is going to be one.

Also, don't forget to leave a 'like' for the OP if you're in agreement, since that increases the chance of the thread being noted by the community managers!

If you guys would create longer, more thought-out posts then you can avoid that. But these empty one-liners - a speciality of the SMS, Facebook and What'sApp generations and adaptors - make it necessary for you to constantly respond. And worse: Constantly re-check for answers, which is time consuming as heck. And then you complain you have to speedrun duties and kick slightly underperforming players holding your run back by 48 seconds because of your busy life..


I know I won't win any popularity contests with saying such stuff, but the vast majority of the "heated debates" is fluff that could be compressed into less posts to begin with.
