Are the ones available at 70 really that low in rewards? I did the level 80 one for like 5 hours and got at least 4,500 scrips.

I somewhat struggled to reach max collectability considering my 70's weren't exactly top geared, and you're lacking amazing abilities like Delicate until level 76. I just did a one button macro I cooked up on the fly and was only reaching 1800 most of the time. I can't recall how many scrips that is, and my sub has ended so can't check.

They also require more painful normal items. Like Pine Lumber, which itself is much easier than stuff like Beetle Glue (I didn't bother with Beetle Glue, just leveled my ARM through the FATE instead). Compare to the 80 ALC only requiring Golden Honey which is super easy.

I also saw a lot less +yield for the lower items than the 80 ones. I don't think I once saw a +9 on the 70's.

Skybuilders' Crosscut Saw lvl 70 = 20 scripts maxed reward. Requires 6 ore, 6 another ore, 6 Sand, 4 logs and bunch of crystals.

Crafting and gathering combined takes about 3 minutes per item. That makes it 400 scripts per hour.

The worst part is the gathering. You could buy mats and make 20 scripts a minute, making it 1200 scripts per hour (or 4800 per hour with Trained Eye), but that would cost you fortune quite quickly.

Now compare it to 500 scripts from fates. In 5 minutes you get same reward as contributors who spend 75 minutes crafting and gathering the stuff themselves, or blowing 375k gil (Twintania prices) to buy the mats for those scripts and still spending several times more effort and time than the Fate.

The Fate reward is quite imbalanced.

The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.

Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.

Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.

bear in mind the fates only show up rarely and only a limited amount of times, they're not a constant source of scripts.

I think the Lv60 recipes may be more efficient. 14 scrips at max collectability, but they only require two types of special materials instead of three. If you do the goldsmith craft (candelabras) you can buy the candles from material suppliers for 225g each.
