I say near prime time and you say 8 AM...…………………………. ? What's with the reaching?so what you're telling me is that the only time we actually get FL queues are when people are actually playing the game... where are my 72man pops at 8am on a monday morning?!
edit : shout out to all the lore RPers joining FL queues! you're the true heroes of the 72man queues

Hmmm, maybe? The relevancy is you being against the 24 man, which I'm sure is fun for those people, but that is up to preference right?
So why should we care about the New People's fun?
And if the queue is already rough, why do you think that is? You said you never did much Frontlines, why are you so worried about it now?
We should care about new players in general. PvP has a bad reputation on NA/EU. It's one of the biggest reasons we get so little attention. We are lucky the JP community loves PvP so we aren't completely neglected...
It's mostly the people requirement why its rough. But, my main point was that we shouldn't discourage people from playing PvP especially frontlines since it the gateway to the other modes. That's how a lot of us of started getting into feast and rival wings. That's how new players can get interested too.
Uh, I have done frontlines since slaughter was a thing in 2.X. I have 3000 matches played just on my main. I know you seen my primal alt because I have played with and against you several times. As I said I'm no longer worried, I feel like this tread served its purpose already! I played almost 6 hours of frontlines yesterday on Aether. People were doing was "LP Queue" which is basically 4 man premades against other 4 man premades. It was quite fun and fair for EVERYONE involved including the first timers. I got a little addicted hence the 6 hours.
You get to play with your friends, have good competitive matches and harm nobody entertainment in the process.

Is it common to butter popcorn? What about both halves being completely different, one side cheesy the other side buttery? Well regardless, I'm out of cheese dust for the right side, wrap this up gentlemen
Never really thought about that, but I can't imagine cheesy popcorn being very nice, I wasn't even aware it existed over here you just get salted or toffee.

“You don’t pay my subs”. That is very common statement when amateurs fire back to the Frontline caller back in the days. Not every experienced players have the patience or tolerance to deal with it. Premade is just an after fact product resulting from mass increase of new players (not really intends to PvP) that wants mounts, gears or achievements).
I don't understand why FFXIV is so offended by pre-mades.
Pre-mades exist in every game with multiplayer. When you're a PUG group against a premade you should try harder to win. (I solo queue mostly, sometimes with 1 other friend or with my wife).
The problem with FFXIV PvP is not pre-mades it's people giving up if the fight is "too hard" or "we're losing, what's the point" or " I'm just here for xyz reward and don't actually care about winning anything."
The other issue is that individual contribution means very little. It takes forever to run anywhere, too much PvE focus in PvP games and PvP rewards the zerg vs skill.
A lot of people seem to miss the three in the forest.
When there is no premades, matches are usually fairly balanced. Factions attack usually the one who is winning and fight for objectives. It's very chaotic though, because everyone is pugging and many are inexperienced.
When I see premades they usually will first camp a faction almost at base and will farm battle highs. In my datacenter Adders usually gets filled up with "premades" and goes to farm flames. Later they move to Maelstrom. Even if the pugs in Maelstrom are decent it's pretty hard to combat against dps with 100% battle high and more than enough healers to support them. This isn't a fair or fun game at all.
If they want to enjoy such organized pvp then there should be a queue for premades so they can have a competitive game against other premades.
I honestly believe that it's more of a "lack of adaptation" issue than premades being the current problem. They can be beaten.
Being someone who almost always plays with a "premade" i can assure you we're not out to farm one GC down to nothing. And if anything, we'd try to aim for mael anyways. Flame adder war must die! And if it does happen its usually because people as a whole, solo players and "premade" are just caught up in the fights. Alot of times without even noticing the other team is at 0. We're constantly trying to redirect focus on the teams in the lead, the problem is the others who tunnel vision or don't want to listen to whats being told to them. Premades are not out to get you and farm you down just to be mean. When I see premades they usually will first camp a faction almost at base and will farm battle highs.
