That’s not really something SE can rectify. They have a pop-up in place to please ask questions and read Tooltips and Active Help tips when you jump a job. If players cannot do that, what else is SE to do?
That said, I thought whenever you made a new character, the LB wasn’t among the default buttons placed on the bar? For crossbars, it was always your level 1 skill, auto-attack, Sprint, teleport, and return. LB was never placed on the crossbar for those who choose the controller scheme since I can remember, and I’ve played for 4 years. I’m not sure what Keyboard/Mouse users see, though.

I was under the impression that jump potions put you through a crash course. If they dont, or its like a 1 minute ordeal, that needs to be reworked so you have a solid understanding of fight mechanics. A simple 30 second combat prompt that explains limit break and has you use it would solve this issue, much like anything else that someone using a jump potion would need to know. I dont see how it's impeding a player to spend 5-10 minutes to take a quick course that explains the mechanics and you have to do them correctly. If you fail, you cant proceed through the course/fight and theyll reexplain the mechanic. That’s not really something SE can rectify. When my friend jumped a job on his alt, he said he received a pop-up saying to please read his tooltips, Active Help entries, and ask any questions he may have before jumping into content (I believe it referenced asking in the NN, but this isn’t always an option if players don’t meet the criteria to be in there—as a Mentor or as a Novice). There was no talk of them getting a crash course in how a job plays or anything related to explaining how specific mechanics work. This was back in mid-SB, so I don’t know if this has changed. I doubt it, though.I was under the impression that jump potions put you through a crash course. This is one of the things they would include inside the Novice Hall tutorials. Before you enter sastasha, see?
You perform a LB just to see what it is and how to do it in acordance to you class and role before you get the must-have ring :3
Dunno why they never thought about this... '-'
Maybe it's because it's a little more complicated than you'd think. For example healer LB3 goes from near useless at level 1/2 to potentially life saving at LB3. You can enroll at the Hall of the Novice at level 15. You won't see a LB3 for at least 35 levels, but with Echo and overgearing it's more realistic to miss it for much longer. Tank LB is extremely situational as well. DPS is a bit more straight forward, but you'll be competing with other DPS over it and it might not be clear how to best use it.This is one of the things they would include inside the Novice Hall tutorials. Mentioning LB in the Hall of the Novice is probably a good idea, but it won't have that much impact. Some players won't be able to meaningfully use LB until long after they've forgotten about the Novice courses. The best way to promote proper LB usage is to teach other players. If it really bothers you (general you), provide some LB advice to new players. If you're in a position to LB, maybe mention at the beginning of the dungeon that you plan to use it. As a melee say "If we have LB at the second boss, I'll use it there so it will refill for the last boss" or if you're a caster "I'll use LB on the enemies in the next room since caster LB can hit them all".

But LB being showed on the novice hall tutorials at least would teach that LB exists and is divided by role and classes. No need to teach every single aspect of the thing at each tier of them (LB1, LB2 and LB3) to a party, but teaching that is a feature inside game and a lot helpfull will avoid people being surprised by a tank begging for a LB in a party that don't know what is a LB... '-'
About the situational aspect, let's just make a NPC there tell us this. "Study with your party the best moment and type of LB to be used for the most efficient effect according to the fight and party need" or something like... Easy to tell, easy to understand...
And yes, I totally agree with the last part. We can teach them about it at the start of a dungeon/trial. But I think the Novice Hall stuff wouldn't hurt them brains and give a base to start the talking...
Novice Hall courses begins just before Sastasha. Don't take much time to use LB for real in the first dg.
Also, not every veteran like to teach new bloods. So, some of them could end up discovering about LB only after a wipe or two.... or three.... or four.... or never... '-'
