    Please Make Limit Break A Default Ability Again

    When Shadowbringers came out, I had no idea that they would remove the original options for the default abilities that were on your hotbar, including Auto Attack, Sprint and most notably, Limit Break. Since this change was made, it seems that no one either uses Limit Break or is even aware of its existence. There have been multiple times where I will call out of Limit Break in dungeons and trials and no one uses it and it has actually caused wipes on a few occasions. There was even an instance a few days ago, where I got The Ghimylt Dark for my roulette and drew an all noob party. I was Tanking and when I asked the DPS to use the Limit Break on the bosses, one of them actually asked me "What is Limit Break?". This had me thinking in an LOL manner, "that gold bar at the top of the screen that says 'Limit Break'? That's just there for decoration."

    SE, please restore the original hotbar so that people, especially new players are aware of the existence of Limit Break.

    Even back in ARR there were people who didn't know what a limit break was or just never put it on their bar.

    Oh I used to be one of them! xD
    I played as a Monk 3 years ago and people told me LB LB LB LB LB and I tried replying on my console (didn't have keyboard) and it took me forever to reply that I don't know what it is... ;____;

    Let's face it, if you make it to Ghimlyt Dark without knowing about limit breaks, it's willful ignorance that SE cannot fix.

    That’s not really something SE can rectify. They have a pop-up in place to please ask questions and read Tooltips and Active Help tips when you jump a job. If players cannot do that, what else is SE to do?

    That said, I thought whenever you made a new character, the LB wasn’t among the default buttons placed on the bar? For crossbars, it was always your level 1 skill, auto-attack, Sprint, teleport, and return. LB was never placed on the crossbar for those who choose the controller scheme since I can remember, and I’ve played for 4 years. I’m not sure what Keyboard/Mouse users see, though.

    i wasn't saying SE should rectify it, it was aimed at "Let's face it, if you make it to Ghimlyt Dark without knowing about limit breaks". sorry for the confusion

    I was under the impression that jump potions put you through a crash course. If they dont, or its like a 1 minute ordeal, that needs to be reworked so you have a solid understanding of fight mechanics. A simple 30 second combat prompt that explains limit break and has you use it would solve this issue, much like anything else that someone using a jump potion would need to know. I dont see how it's impeding a player to spend 5-10 minutes to take a quick course that explains the mechanics and you have to do them correctly. If you fail, you cant proceed through the course/fight and theyll reexplain the mechanic.

    When my friend jumped a job on his alt, he said he received a pop-up saying to please read his tooltips, Active Help entries, and ask any questions he may have before jumping into content (I believe it referenced asking in the NN, but this isn’t always an option if players don’t meet the criteria to be in there—as a Mentor or as a Novice). There was no talk of them getting a crash course in how a job plays or anything related to explaining how specific mechanics work. This was back in mid-SB, so I don’t know if this has changed. I doubt it, though.

    This is one of the things they would include inside the Novice Hall tutorials. Before you enter sastasha, see?

    You perform a LB just to see what it is and how to do it in acordance to you class and role before you get the must-have ring :3

    Dunno why they never thought about this... '-'
