But the issue is that, even if Apartments were indeed bigger than houses. They wouldn't be perceived as "better".

People seem to have some worrying fascination with the gardens, even when plenty of people do nothing with them.

So if apartments still wouldn't be better, why fight against giving players the option of having larger apartments? All they would have would be more interior space to decorate, which is better for them, while you would still have your "better than large apartment" house.
