FFXIV/WOW cross over event?

I really dislike WoW because of it is a wanna-be of J.R.R Tolkien worlds. I am tired of dwarves with filthy beards swinging axes, ridiculously generic "Lich Kings" with glowing eyes from the box art covers (or Pandas), purple elves with 2 feet long ears and probably the most generic professions ever. "Rogue" anyone?

Anime characters are way better?, or lalafells... dude, at least gnomes have some personality.

So after seeing Blizzard send Yoshi a gift to congratulate him for the release of SHB I think a cross over event would be rather awesome.

Things like a Shadow minion or Frostmourne DRK weapon could make good event items
(Orc barding anyone?)

Cross events have always involved licenses related to Final Fantasy or Japanese; This time Nier Automata, but we must remember that it is also distributed by SE, same publisher, the contact is easy.

MHW is made by Capcom, but it is a Japanese company. Garo a Japanese TV series.


WoW is not Japanese in addition to being a competing game. Nobody will think about doing a collaboration with his competitor, except for major commercial and financial interest for both parties.

the Garo cross event is an ad for the TV series - MHW, FFXV, Dragon Quest, etc. This is to bring people from the community of these games on FFXIV, it is consistent with their new player recruitment campaign because without new player the MMO will eventually die.

Do you really think that SE wants players to leave FFXIV for WoW or the opposite? An MMO is a time-consuming game it is not possible to invest fully for two MMOs.

The game has storylines. If the other storylines are not affected by it, then it doesn't matter if it's in the game. It's there for your enjoyment, not to add to the canon lore.

It wont happen for one reason: Blizzard NEVER does thing with competitors, no matter how much it may benefit them. Their new willingness to do things with other companies is new and seems to be mostly for ad revenue for their dying esport they forced onto Overwatch.

Yes, to me they are better, hence I am here and not in World of Tolkien. I know you are here only to cause mad beef a lot as seen in the Lalafell thread, but don't you think it's weird to be in a Japanese game with "anime characters" and ask if people like them more?
