That's ridiculous! Preposterous! my hatred of WoW has nothing to do with fact that I play FFXIV!

not against a crossover, might be fun.

"if it's in the game, it's in the game". You can't say the game isn't canon to itself.

The game has storylines. If the other storylines are not affected by it, then it doesn't matter if it's in the game. It's there for your enjoyment, not to add to the canon lore.

The game is there for enjoyment. If my character experienced it, it happened. Lore and canon are flexible, and different for each WOL/D. It's like a multiverse.

Then why are you arguing with me in the first place if that's how you think? Enjoy your headcanon.

Head canon would be stuff that doesn't actually happen within the fictional context.

Games have to have flexible canon, because you have choices. Did the WoL become a Black mage or not? There is no absolute there. You are the WOL in your universe where I am just another adventurer. and vice versa.

Yes, "flexible" canon exists for gameplay reason, but that doesn't mean everything in the game is canon. There are optional contents that affect the MSQ or add to the lore of the world of Eorzea and there are other contents that don't.
