Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

There's already multiple options for those who want to play a character that is short and slender. As has been pointed out many times, pushing the boundaries further than what is already available starts to creep into territory that is simply bizarre. Especially if such proportions are accompanied by very feminine/androgynous features.

The claim that there's already 'enough' options for big, buff men is very arguable, too. Many of us who want to play men in this game want another option that is tall and well-built without having comically oversized proportions or glaring design flaws. I'm pretty confident that Highlander men would be a lot more popular if they could be designed to have something closer to Midlander-esque features and also have access to authentic eyebrows. Basch from FFXII is an excellent example of what I refer to.

Given how male viera have been described, they're a good fit for that aesthetic. Though with that said, I already didn't expect them to come anytime soon but now I'm starting to believe that they're not going to come at all no matter how long we wait and request them to be added.

I guess I'll just have to get my 'forest elf' fix from Classic WoW instead.

The only small build for males is lalafells. Midlander is literally the epitome of average and miqo'te have wider upper bodies. Elezen are too bulky to be slender as well since SE messed them up.

Highlander, Au'ra, Hrothgar, and Roegadyn are all larger built males. We don't need more large builds in this game. We need a smaller built one.

It would be so weird seeing male Vieras so much shorter than female Vieras. Miqo'te height would be terrible in my opinion.

There is no build which "needs" to be added, and I really don't want them shoehorning them into some build because of such claimed "needs". Elezen remain slender, even if their proportions are... bizarre. Midlanders are also slender. I wonder what is meant by "slender" if Midlanders are excluded from that label? Alphinaud type builds?

There is just no slender option, that's all. Miqo'te are athletic, Midlanders are average normal body type. Elezens supposed to be slender, but welp, they aren't really, though could be placed there.

Considering how unfinished the races I highly doubt we are getting the missing genders at all.

Set a Midlander's muscle tone to 0 and the "athletic" look goes out the window.

Same height difference between female max and min height where they have the exact same min/max height as well. The Viera have always been tall it is a defining feature of their race for the males to be shorter than midlanders would be going against that and we really do not need an inverse of Au Ra it was bad for them and would be bad for Viera too.

I guess we'll just have to differ on what is considered "normal". Midlanders are what I would consider slender (ranging from athletic to soft), and so are Elezen. The issue with Elezen is that they borked up their proportions and now refuse to fix them for stupid reasons that basically just amount to "we don't want to spend time on this".

I suspect this is like the Au Ra/Highlander thing, where people believe Au Ra are "slender" even though their proportions are virtually identical to Highlanders and this can be demonstrated by taking actual measurements of the body. It is the illusion that the height creates which makes Elezen and Au Ra seem more slender than Midlanders and Highlanders, respectively, plus differential focus on certain body ratios that suffices to trick the eye.

And much like Viera, that situation could have been remedied through more creative use of height sliders.
