Every job is viable. If a group is forcing people to play jobs they're not good with, I don't see them making it to the end of the first lockout. Cause they will wipe and wipe. And wipe. Get annoyed because they have da Meta. Start shifting blame and arguing and the whole thing will fall apart. Was in a FC that happened. I can't remember the specifics, but someone was forced on DRG and a healer was forced off WHM to AST. And when they wiped, it exploded out of party chat and into the FC. They were the lowest being on jobs they're not familiar with and yeah. Keep playing what you enjoy.

Yes and no, In a scenario where a group of bad melees and BLM can clear whereas a group of ranged physical, RDM, and NIN can't, then you have a serious problem. Yes, the disparity is that bad, DRG, MNK and BLM are several thousand DPS above the competition, and that really adds up.
